No What I was asking is do I have to install and download like a game purchased with steam or can i just stick the disc in and there is an install client on the disc. if I cant have to download all the files and crap via steam using my crappy internet is there anyway I can pre-load it
Not moaning but I do think it's a little unfair to keep the PC edition locked seeing as there is already a lot of 360/PS3 users playing it already. They should just unlock it for everyone seeing as the 11.11.11 release date has clearly been ballsed.

you can install from disk when you get it. just have to activate it via steam if you have a physical copy

Nono, this is more than fair.
Just think of all the perks PC players get... Mods, better graphics, mods, even better graphics... And did I mention mods?
I preloaded it in 35 minutes. What am I supposed to do now for the rest of the some 30 hours until it is released? Im seriously tempted to call my buddy who owns a game store and hassle him until he sells me a PS3 version. This waiting is driving me insane.
My pre-load finished over night while I was having a sleep. I have my stash of beer and pop so all I need is to get my snacks today... gonna get some big bags of doritos and stuff. Luck to all you pre-downloaders. Soon we'll all be in the game, killing spiders and messing about with mods and stuff. Weeeeee.....
would have been suprised if they were not included I have yet to come across a game that doesn't have steam achievements that is integrated
oh and ya that usually happens with pre-loads same thing happened when I pre-load RO2
The Last Remnant - it's a Steamworks game, exclusively on Steam but yet no achievements - plus it's essentially a console port, where the console had (iirc) achievements.
