Strange Encounters.

A dragon attacked me, then landed and got into a fight with some wolves and 1 bandit. It then died with me barely having to hit it.

Worst dragon ever?

Just the location was strange, I found a Riften city guard after exiting the thief guild, yes he was under the sliding roof with the coffin. No idea how he managed to end up where, he did not follow me.

An Orc asking if I wanted to buy skooma. I asked isn't this illegal and he attacked me.
I ran into an argonian selling skooma and I said the same thing and he attacked, I have a bunch of skooma now.

 Good lord. I had no idea the man was such a sociopath. I haven't had any training from him yet though, so that's good to keep in mind. Thanks for the head up

Agreed. I found Talsgar a little way past Saarthol, bending over a dead woman. Just an innocent. He was rummaging through her meager belongings. I pushed him to one side to find out who she was and what he was doing to her. All she had was a note.
Spoiler
She was persuing some bandits that had stolen something valuable from her and that if anyone was reading the note it was because she was dead.
There were no bandits or other enemy around anywhere near. Just Talsgar. Another spot of bother with a lady? Hmm....

Well I saw an orc similar with look and equipment with those skooma dealers and had some skooma in his inventory. Anyway he didn't try to sell me anything he just attacked me on sight.

I saw the bravest Stormcloak in the world today...

I was rummaging around in the courtyard of a Dwemer ruin, trying to find the entrance, when I heard dragon music. Sure enough, there's a dragon circling... no, two dragons. I had gotten into the courtyard by jumping up the mountain and then dropping down to it, and couldn't figure out how to get up to the higher plain where the dragons were, no path in that direction. Meanwhile I can hear the dragons breathing on something and one of them plopping down on the ground. Finally I found a place I could climb up, and there is one lonely Stormcloak soldier in the middle of nowhere with his sword out fighting two dragons at the same time. I ran to him, but sadly he died before I could come to his aid. Have no idea what he was doing out there, no encampments or roads nearby.

That's a brave one indeed. He may be courier or last survivor from random SC-IL battle or then the dragons have ate his two fellows.

yet another one...this one a bit more sad

not to far outside dwnstar, you can find this tent camped out by the waters edge ( nearest to the black door) , inside you find two bed rolls, nothign unsual about that but then i looked at the evidence and...and...well it looked like suicide

first off, both beds are covered in red flowers, second off, there are several bottles of wine , third off a few discaded silver classes.

it may be pure chance, im not sure, i didnt find any bodys or bones at all, nor any more evidence, it was still sad though

No no no, that's not a suicide tent! It's a Honeymoon tent! Didn't you find the amulet of Mara in there? :D

Just now actually! I saw a random guy on the road who was going in Windhelm to join the Stormcloaks. The next random line he said was he has relatives in Cyrodiil but feels that Skyrim feels like his home as much as the Nords'. This guy apparently has no idea what he's talking about. Oh, and did I mention that he's a Redguard! Crazy stuff...

Will actually follow him walking niiiiice and sloooow with him, since I'm heading to Windhelm myself and it's not too far off. I've never followed a future Legionaire/Stormcloak, so I wonder what happens if I do now. I don't believe he will actually go to Palace of the Kings and have a talk with Ulfric; he might vanish at the gates of the city or something. Anyhow, I might hear some more crazy lines about how his Breton daddy could be proud of him! Will edit the post if anything of interest comes up.

- He didn't seem to have any other lines than his greeting line "I'm on my way to Windhelm" etc., and then "I may have roots in Cyrodiil, but Skyrim's as much my home as any Nord's" and "The Empire is in shambles. They've banned the worship of Talos". I remember them by heart now as he kept monologuing them at me if I got too close to him.
- Why I kept getting too close to him in the first place was because this NPC seems to have even slower walking speed than the PC has... -_- Remarkably slow. I thought they all were as slow as me or clearly quicker.
- Nothing miraculous happened during our short but slow trip together. A caravan of cats passed us, and my mage character got more Moon Sugar in store to cook some more Elsweyr Fondue!
- Just before Anga's Mill, the Multinational Redguard Farmer's pathfinding screwed a bit. As if he looked at a camp, saw nothing miraculous there, and turned back to follow the road again.
- At the Mill, I Frenzied a chicken, just to see my brave new companion rush to my aid! (And take some steps backwards. :( Besides, my dear colleague from the College, Brelynda, firebolted the chicken to death before the Redguard could strike.)
- Also, near Windhelm, we saw a random event where a wolf and an ice wolf were hunting two goats. I disposed of the wolves before they could hurt my new friend! The wolves made him draw his weapon and take a few running steps towards Windhelm - great!
- At the bridge leading to the city gate, some Guards bored us to death with their constant arrows-in-the-knees and stolen-sweet-rolls. One hinted about something small with scary eyes or something living in a place called Stillborn Cave, so I might check that out next!
- I was right. As he opened the city gates, he seemingly vanished from the game. It feels like I lost a friend. R.I.P., Multinational Redguard Farmer! :/

I was sneaking in a cave with my thief character and I had a few thing too much in my inventory. I was undetected and decided to drop something into water which lies on the bottom of the cave. Then a bandit came to talk with me "I saw you dropped some armor piece on ground, do you mind if I'll take it?" (I was still undetected) I said yes, he thanked me and went to pick it up. When I moved he continued to pick the items I dropped but became red in my compass. So he wasn't friendly to me anymore when he saw me so he took a dagger in his back.

I did the same thing, but he surrendered, so I put away my weapons. He was willing to do business with me again. But then I attacked him, and it was considered a murder.

EDIT: Since this was out in the wild, and there were no other witnesses, no bounty.

Believe it or not guys... My strangest encounter was yesterday. I walked in Dragon Bridge and talked to Horgeir, the owner of the wood mill. He complained about his wife. Then, I found his wife... And she was naked!! And I didn't eh, do it myself. I had a normal conversation with her, and she acted normally. She just had nothing on. I did check on her belongings and she had clothes in her inventory. Afterwards she said I should keep my hands to myself. Fair enough, given the state she was in...

 What kind of mods do you have in your game???

The other day I exited the main gate of Riften and proceeded down the hill to find Morthal Jarl Idgrod Ravencrone walking towards Fort Greenwall all by her lonesome. The bandits at Fort Greenwall attacked us on site and to my surprise Jarl Ravencrone ran right into battle. She was quickly incapacitated but of course didn't die. Once the Jarl had recovered she b-lined it for Shor's Stone where I later found her just standing in the shade of a tree.

I have no idea why the Jarl was so far away from Morthal but maybe somebody has an explanation.

Had one yesterday when I was trudging through the snowy wasted north of Winterhold looking for some damnable book for the librarian orc. Dragon shows up, flies around a bit. I shoot a couple of arrows at it and it lands some way away. By the time I've got to it, a snow bear has killed it. Way to go, bear. (Of course, I killed the bear right after absorbing the dragon soul. It was it or me).

I just saw Alduin resurrect another named Dragon.

I was doing a quest and saw a dragon near Helgen, and ran to it thinking it was going to cause Havoc and saw this instead.

I wonder, how many times Alduin does this throughout the game? There sure is a lot of unmarked dragon tombs in the game.

I’m not sure if this was a glitch or just a remarkable series of coincidences, but it was pretty wild at the time. I was heading to Sky-high Temple, or whatever it was called, with Esbern, Delphine and Iona, and we were on the road south of Riverwood, alongside the lake. First we were attacked by wolves. No surprise there, really. Next we could see a hunter on the road ahead running south and crying out for help. Now, I’ve met hunters on that stretch of road before, usually mounted hunters who dismount and chase after foxes. Well, we approached the gap where the tall rock formation is between the road and the water, and as usual we found three bandits skulking there. Soon enough I had three dead bandits at my feet, but something was going on behind me.

Delphine said, “You call yourself a true Nord?!”

This was followed by Iona saying, “Now you’ll pay!”

I turned around and they were fighting each other! Esbern was diffidently avoiding the cat-fight. At that moment an Orc in Imperial garb with a pair of friends tells me I need to pay a fine or something. Esbern and Iona helped me to dispatch them, as Delphine appeared to be busy puking. As soon as she got back up she attacked Iona again. Then Esbern took Delphine’s side and there was nothing I could do to stop the fight. I ended up reloading a saved game but, in retrospect, perhaps I should’ve left those guys to duke it out.

They probably got in each other's way in the battle.

Well I was on walkabout last night and saw this fort and said "I think I'll just get close enough to grab that map point then run off." Okay. I get close enough, then I hear from someone "That's close enough. I'd bugger off if I were you." So fine I start running off down the road. Next thing I get an ice spike in my bum. "Hey!" I shout, and I keep running. Then another Ice spike.

So I turn around "Alright! I've had about enough out of you! You think you're so smug up there behind your wall. Come down and fight or are you just plain scared of a girl." So what's the bloke do? He fires another ice spike. So I take out me bow and fire a few arrows at him. Now he's whining and all that. "I yield! I yield!" Then all his buddies start pouring out the gate. All his bloomin' mage buddies firing their shock spells. So okay, time to chop them up in to little pieces. So I take out "Ginsu" (it even cuts through cans) and my shock shield and begin the slice and dice party. Another one yields. So I turn to face another attacker, and the screen does a slo-mo right out of Kill Bill. The first one gets run through followed by the spinning decapitation of the one who yielded. Nice finishing move. End of battle.

Alas, I cannot get Iona in Riften, even though I am thane and own Honeyside. I have this quest to talk to the Jarl, but she won't do anything but thank me for my service. I've talked to her steward who just gives me the "kill a giant" quest. So no Iona for me. Oh well, at least I don't have to have another psycho eat bread while watching me sleep. Apparently I howl during my sleep. The guards ask me to keep my dog quiet. I wonder... do I have fleas too? Maybe that's why I don't have a housecarl in Riften. So no Delphine and Iona fighting for me. Too bad. I'd like someone to do the black sacrament for Delphine for me. The Listener shouldn't do her own contracts.

I've had most of the encounter posted here so far. One I have not seen posted was running into a Scavenger wearing a mix of Imperial and Stormcloak gear. Some dead Imperial soldiers and Stormcloaks nearby as well.

In the span of five minutes, I encountered two thieves (one after another) that gave me gold because I was a Nightingale or something, a weird woman asking me to Wabbajack her (she is now proudly walking as a chicken) and a bandit fighting a Sabrecat. I didn't even fast travel, I was just casually walking to a giant camp near Whiterun.
