North West of Whiterun. Supposed to be an Easter Egg, reference to Arthurian legend; The Lady in the Lake.

... try not to mess with cow-painting weirdos.
Solid advice. I will take this to heart.

I had just come out of a cave, and about to fast travel to get my reward when off in the distance I see a sabercat attack a giant. After I watched the sabercat soar up into the stratosphere, I fast traveled out.

No sooner had I arrived in Markarth when BAM! I got hit by a falling dead cat.

Not really a random encounter.
I gave Narfi an item and got a Daedra and Human heart in return. WTF?

Aela keeps giving me animal extermination quests, and the latest dealt with a beast, no doubt made of "shterner shtuff," as Aela says, in a cave south of Riften. Leaving the road in the direction of the cave, we spotted some explosions. There was a hag, a bear and a flame atronach. The bear killed the hag first, and the atronach soon after. I finished him off. At the entrance to the cave sat a frostbite spider, which I one-shotted. Zoning into the cave we could see the central chamber, where a big ruckus was going on. A bear was attacking a troll while a frostbite spider was sneaking up on the troll from behind. The troll killed the bear, the spider killed the troll (quest completed!) and I shot the spider. Wins all the way around!

Saw a rabbit running, not swimming, underwater. Weird.

Believe it or not guys... My strangest encounter was yesterday. I walked in Dragon Bridge and talked to Horgeir, the owner of the wood mill. He complained about his wife. Then, I found his wife... And she was naked!! And I didn't eh, do it myself. I had a normal conversation with her, and she acted normally. She just had nothing on. I did check on her belongings and she had clothes in her inventory. Afterwards she said I should keep my hands to myself. Fair enough, given the state she was in...

I was sneaking up on a bandit camp, saw about 2 or 3 and assumed there were several more. I fired one arrow and suddenly everyone I saw started collapsing to the ground and I got the "cleared" message. Must have been some enchantment on the bow!

This happened once to me, only it was the random redguard woman interrogation event. The usual dialog between the brothers, "but she doesn't have the scar", as was amply evident. I tried to speak to her, but she just said, "huh?"

Today I saw a couple of other oddities. Approaching Whiterun, I noticed three guys in the road outside the stables. Well, two were standing, the other was literally up to his waist in the road! And it was the same guy x3: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Louis_Letrush, no less. Later, in Windhelm, I noticed the meat vendor had a sampling of his wares arranged in mid-air before his stall. Then I saw the same thing at Niranye's booth, with various weapons poised in mid-air.

I had that happen recently the moment he went hostile a dragon killed him.

Thalmor decending from the sky.

Me: "What? These bastards fly now? Well I'm screwed. I want that spell!"
Had that happen today with a Hagraven. I presume she met a giant who was not amused.

In the thieves guild, I reversed pickpocketed a daedric arrow into one of the members inventory in the hopes that he would fire them and let me stock up on them. The strange thing is that he noticed and he said "Well I guess I can't complain."
You need to take there regular arrows when there sleeping or otherwise don't have the bows equipped for that trick to work. BTY it works wonders, I've got nearly five hundred daedric arrows.

AND btw, if any of you were wondering, my username is from the Literal Skyrim trailer from Tobuscus... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMKJ9fDM2mo

The funniest encounter I've had was on a early on in my game. As I walked towards a bridge (can't remember the exact location) there were three men and a woman examining the corpses of two dead Sabre cats, two Redguards were walking off the brige towards me and passed me without saying a word. As I approached the woman she said something along the lines of "Damn foreigners!"

That was so funny.

There's a giant camp with a boulder on top of a bunch of flattened people. All you see are random arms and legs sticking out from under it.

I remember doing a double take when I first saw that. Arms, skull and rib cage on one end of the boulder. Legs and feet sticking out the other end.

saved a refugee from some bandits and someone aproaches to me and enables the dialogue UI. my character turned to face the guy, the menu for dialogue apeared and then out of nowhere a dragon killed me in a flaming inferno of chatting with a total stranger.
never knew what hit him, the poor orc.
(very recently reload)
reloaded and avoided the guy from coming to me. the dragon apeared again at the same time but never managed to take cover from the sneaky bastard. sending a human to intercept me while he tries to 1 shot kill me.

Yesterday, some hunter came running up to me and said. "Help me. I just fought a vampire. Do you have a cure disease potion, before the illness sets in?" LOL I was so confused, I didn't even chose the "slow down and explain" option, I just handed that poor sot a potion and was on my way. LOL

Saw a couple of Orc Hunters chasing a deer. After they killed it they started fighting each other, then the winner decided to attack me! Needless to say I kicked his ass.

Oh I have this one too, in addition he also appeared inside the Wreck of the Brinehammer which totally made me jump, he just walked through the door as I went in and when I tried to follow him he had completely vanished.

As usual I am overloaded with junk from cleaning out a dungeon and am slowly trudging (walking) back to town when as usual a dragon attacks. It attacks me, then it attacks the town guards and then flies off and lands on the road leading to the town and starts fighting with someone(s) which I assume are some of the guards. I can't see who it is fighting because there is a big rock between me and the dragon. All I can see is occasionally part of the dragon's back and his tail above the rock. So I am sniping with a firebolt spell at the parts of the dragon which poke up every once in a while. Finally it dies and I go running over expecting to see a bunch of dead guards. Instead there are 4 Khajiits calming standing around discussing the weather and telling me to stick to the roads because otherwise if I leave the safety of the roads I could be attacked by a dragon (this with a dragon lying dead in the middle of the road). Then with no irony, one asks me to go to some nearby bandit camp and retrieve some trinket for him and that he will understand if I refuse because it is so dangerous. They just kicked a dragon's butt, but are afraid of tangling with some bandits.

So I was on my way to the Halted Stream Camp for a bounty. Come across a few mudcrabs and as I start fighting them and a fugitive runs up to me and hands me a weapon he stole. Then I see a dragon in the background, breathing fire on the bandit camp, and they come running out to fight it, but a few head in my direction.

The wierdest thing I have seen is returning to Riverwood after killing the second dragon there. (The first one had killed the smith and then dropped dead next to the mill and the smith's house.) The second one dropped dead right in the middle of town and I was expecting to see its skeleton still lying peacefully in the middle of the street upon my return. Instead, upon arriving at Riverwood, I see this skeletal dragon running along the roof tops. What the ?, an undead dragon! I immediately pull out my weapons just as Skeletor finishes his pre-dawn jog and drops dead off the roof back in the middle of the street at about the same place he was before. Only now he body is in a slightly different posture than previously. I poked at it to make sure it was truly dead.

A similar but less dramatic occurrence happened with the dragon in my previous post. Only this time upon returning to town, the dragon skeleton was in crouching/sitting position before collapsing back onto the road.

Just met a woman who had escaped Mistwatch and was lost and needed directions to the nearest town. Thing is this was close to the Lord Stone so she'd managed to travel halfway across Skyrim and up a mountain without stumbling on a road or anything.

A few gamedays ago my orc met the Imperial couple with bodyguard on their way to Solitude for a wedding. Really annoying people but being mostly good Vriddi refrained from butchering them. A short while later she watched a cave bear kill their bodyguard then chase down and kill the fleeing couple. Good times.
