Strange Encounters.

As much as I kind of like the Blades on these forums, I just killed one. And he wasn't Esbern or Delphine. It's "Fultheim". I was chasing a Stormcloak courier into an Inn, killed her, and the Inn's residents came after me. "Fultheim" was a brave old man... and lo and behold, when I looted him, he had a Blades sword. I'm assuming he was one of the few left, that were hiding out.

Poor man is going to be ambushed by a lot of Pathnx lovers very soon, just so that they can get back at Delphine.

Couldn't you stalk the courier outside? The road going to Windhelm is full of frost spiders, wolves and even a couple of ice wraiths. He's not going to survive the trip anyway, just like that lone imperial courier running through the Reach plains and passing near a Forsworn camp and a Hagravens nest... <_<

Old Fultheim has always that blade sword at his side. Odd place for him to hide, that lonely tavern in the middle of Skyrim

Strangest thing for me was bandit that just fell out of the sky, I was running down the road and out of of nowhere this bandit just hits the ground dead. Scared the crap out of me as I wasnt really paying much attention to what I was doing and just saw this object fall and heard a thud sound. I look down and its a bandit on the ground. I look up expecting to see a dragon but nothing not even a mountain ledge for him to have taken a stumble off of. Best part he had elven armor in his inventory and 500 gold. and has this stuff on him every so often when I pass him on the road now, he is like a little in game atm.

This made me laugh out loud. Good stuff. I had a strange experience playing last night. I was southish from Dawnstar on the other side of the mountains along the river and a Khajit runs up to me wearing glass armor. He has no name, just labeled "thief" and he won't talk to me...no dialogue options. He turns and runs away so I assume that he stole something from me... so I run along behind him and pickpocket him (find nothing of mine) and decide since he's headed towards Whitehold anyway, I'll follow him. More battle power if we run into a troll. We kill a few random monsters and then I accidentally shoot him while he is getting pummelled by a troll. Took his armor, gold, and an emerald... shrugged... went about my business. Seemed like he might be bugged.

Anyone know if he was headed somewhere? Did I lose a chance to experience a cool side quest?

For the record, I am absolutely blown away by the sheer volume of named quests in this game compared to the Fallouts. I have at least two pages of incomplete named quests in my journal right now. It is almost impossible for me to focus on the theives guild quest line long enough to become guild leader. Without even really trying I've hit level 50 and it seems as if I have at least 90% of the game left to play... sigh. First world problems. ;-)

Yes they only offer you a Honningbrew Mead. But there's also something else:
Spoiler
If you have also Honningbrew Mead in your inventory you can give it to them by saying "Why to have only one bottle when you can have two?" If you choose this argument they will give you a Necklace of Charity which increases your carrying capacity by 25 points.

I kept the ones they gave me, so hopefully there be another one just like this in my current playthrough.

I just had a thief jump me on the road. But instead of trying to rob me, he said "Greetings, Sister. I just found these and thought you could use them", then gave me a bunch of lockpicks.

It's good to be the Boss.

Here are screenshots of few more I've encountered today.

http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197980075169/screenshot/649875346874861408/?tab=public

http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/649875346875371602/916789F27D28B7DB29C647FDC189302D9EA3F85C/ Gee, is it that apparent I'm the champion of multitudes of Daedras? Maybe I've done one too many Daedric quests.
Great pics. I've run across these also with the exception of the bounty collector. I guess my Battlemage's sneak and stealth skills are too high. The biggest bounty he's ever had on his head was 5.

Looks like I need to up the stakes and go on a blatant crime spree. The Redguard one is a favorite, because the perpetrator they're supposedly hunting is hiding in plain sight in one of the holds. You've got to love the random world encounters. They definitely keep things fresh. :tes:

btw: in your oringal post, was that other soldier bandit a Bosmer? He sure looked really short......

edit: on the Stendarr Vigilant: it seems as though the game is tracking? whatever nefarious activity you're doing, particularly where it comes to Daedric quests? Hmmm. Definitely something to watch. I'm keeping an eye on this. Most intriguing....

I've been trying to get the one where Thalmor try to kill you, but I've only been getting the same events over and over despite running the roads for 10+ hours. According to UESP, I meet the requirements for numerous other world encounters, but I'm not getting them for some reason. Anybody have any suggestions?

1. Couple Fleeing From Dragon - I always give them gold.
2. Noble On Horse - I hate this guy.
3. M'aiq The Liar - He's been showing up a lot recently.
4. Drug Dealer - I have 30 sleeping tree sap in my party chest thanks to them, and they only sell 2 at a time...
5. Three Imperial Soldiers - Both of the escort and non-escort variety.
6. Three Thalmor - Both of the escort and non-escort variety. They aren't the ones I'm looking for.
7. Traveling Bard - I forget his name, but I keep paying him 25 gold for a request and then I run off.
8. Thieves - I always refuse to pay them and then slit their neck before they go hostile.
9. Disgruntled Traveler - These are the orcs and redguards that attempt to pick a fight with you. I just ignore them.
10. Headless Horseman - I don't like this guy anymore.
11. Cow Sacrifice - I'm tired of seeing this guy, too. I even followed him a long way once. The giants were dead but he still left the cow. Waste of a cow if you ask me.
12. Angry Person - These are the random people that attack you for no reason, always named after their race. Have no choice but to kill them.
13. Vigilant of Stendarr - Not as common as the others, but they do keep showing up.

I have seen all of these and something more but there's two which I have seen differently than you.
10. Headless Horseman - I haven't actually seen him but I saw his ghost horse once going alone on his round. I don't know why the rider wasn't with his horse.
11. Cow Sacrifice - I have seen this cow walking on roads once but there was no-one with her.

I have also seen Dark Brotherhood assasins with orders to kill me, thief and hunter who's after him, three bandits in imperial armors trying to collect road-taxes, mead drinkers, military couriers (both imperial and stormcloak), old orc looking for good death, stray dogs, hired thugs with deal to give me a lesson and three Thalmor who had execution orders for my head. If those Thalmor are what you are looking for you will not see them until you do a certain quest for Gray-Mane family. Visit in their house and talk with them to get the quest.

I've done that quest and then some. I've undermined the Thalmor at every opportunity and they just aren't showing up to kill me.

Do you know the imperial commander who is standing in the wilderness on the tundra area southwest of Whiterun? Near him is shrine of Zenithar. Almost on the shrine locates random encounter which can also be those Thalmor you are looking for. If you want to force you to face them go near of the imperial commander and quick save. Then go towards the shrine. If there's no Thalmor just quickload until you see the Thalmor.

Some guy ran up to me in the forest telling me he was paid to kill some vampires but got infected. He gave me the location and begged me for a potion of cure disease. I didn't have one so he said he had to run to town and find a priest. Never happened to me before.

I've also been attacked a few times by hired thugs. Since I murder people for little to no reason, people tend to hold a grudge. Their names are on the contracts though, so they become my next targets.

I got attacked by a steam centurion in
a dwarven ruin, I use wabbajack on him and POOF he is gone. After killing a falmer gloomlurker that was helping him, I look around, all I find where the centurion was is ghostly remains and a sweetroll. I turned a giant robot into a sweetroll :D

That's Talsgar the only traveling bard in Skyrim. He'll seranade you with the Dragonborn ballad or Imperial song if you request a song for 25 gold. I usually tip him whenever I run across him.

What about the two kids in the Rift pointing you to a dwemer ruin nearby and offering you a piece of scrap metal?

I wish there were an option to ask them where are their parents!!! They wander in an area infested by Forsworn and sabercats

Okay, so I had the bandits posing as Imperial Legions again. Once I've dispatched them I found a civillian corpse among the dead Imperial Sodiers containing this http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/648750789962456100/B13C7D03B74E5C4AE18EE5BFC564509580C779D5/. Does not start a quest however?

Now, is thishttp://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/648750789962446001/479EC0D70B262F22B77706403D9C27B08CEEBE83/soppose to be a joke?

I've had ancient vampires to master mages come after me, but now http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/648750789962452619/06B36327E1A7D28550AEFEAE5874132131EAB44F/. Why the hell are Arch mages after me?

I once found a guy pretending to be wounded after fighting some bandits from a cart, and I agreed to escort him to his camp when it was full of bandits and he attacked me. That's weird, but I haven't found the one you have.

Liked this one! My daughter was watching me play when this came up and I actually said, "This feels like a trap."

situations like this really bug me whenever I run accross them for some reason. Haven't encountered the kids yet. But I have run into several damsels in distress who've escaped bandits. There's always a bear or sabre cat stalking the area, so I always end up escorting them back to their destination. As for the dogs, I only got the chance to rescue Meeko. After visiting his shack, I adopted him and took him to Riften. He's now having a blast hanging out with the housecarl and guarding my house.

So I've now made it a policy to try and rescue any strays I run across and take them back to my different homes. But I haven't come across any more dogs ever since I resuced Meeko. Maybe the game only lets you have 1 dog follower at the time? idk. Wonder how much CK could change that? Ah well. I guess my bloodthirsty Dovahkin has a real soft spot after all.

HA! hehhe, thats what makes skyrim worthwhile
That reminds me of that talking mudcrab in Morrowind who you could trade with. I made a serious mint of $$$ of of trading with him. He'd would pay you the most ridiculous prices for just about anything! You've just got to love Bethesdaa. :tes:

I found 3 Alki'r questioning a redguard female then realizing she was'nt the right one.

I met the Villigents of Stendarr.

Talsar The Bard.
Another time Talsar with another bard surrounded by dead bandits.

I met the escaping female from mistwatch.

Some fight happy people named Orc, Nord, Imperial, etc.

A female dark elf mercenery.

A horse flew down from a moutain and landed on the ground dead.
Then a female Imperial flew off after, fell down after, bounced twice, then got up and attacked me.

A dragon attacked me, then landed and got into a fight with some wolves and 1 bandit. It then died with me barely having to hit it.
