You mean other than the two ways in-game to get the item that does that? Personally I'm hoping they reduced the odds of those invasions, I got tired of fighting them off every three days.

Sivartus was hosting a BGSF server at one point, and said he'd put it up again ASAP. I don't know if that's been done yet, though, but playing with people is loads of fun.

The guys behind the linux server software announced tonight they are aren't supporting it anymore, and while they are thinking of releasing a 1.1 update as a goodbye nothing is guaranteed.

So, tomorrow I'll try and remotely setup a server on my windows machine which is 250 miles away, if I can walk my mom through setting the remote access up. Wish me luck.

I'll keep you guys updated tomorrow though, I'm wanting to host another one, the last one was loads of fun.

Aww. I hope it works out, the last one was really fun and new bosses might require some teamwork to defeat. At least they're supposed to be more difficult than the last ones.

EDIT // Ouch, yeah, the Wall of Flesh seems to require some effort to defeat. It flung me into lava and kept me pinned down there until I died. I didn't even get a single hit in.

Me, I've just been getting huge and large ones. And a swift silver hammer. But I think the lower tier stuff has a higher chance of having negative characteristics.

I was hosting mine on my regular machine and playing WoW at one point.

Of course, the game has gotten alot more complex since then.

You can use Water Walking potions to walk on lava without damage, unless they changed that in the new patch. A couple of those and my Spectre Boots will hopefully save me the trouble of building a flat area.

I didn't use obsidian skin since I developed hell on my homeworld a bit so there was no way for me to fall into lava.
