the empire is dead

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:04 am

Please. Just because you don't love the empire doesn't mean you want another, even more oppressive empire to take their place. I don't want any empire at all, rather I would like to see an alliance of free nations. It won't be easy or pretty but its time has come. The empire served its purpose and now it needs to go away.

Tamriel's version of the Eurozone? Could work... :D

It truly is if the Thalmor do start to come close (and I think just somehow that will coincide with the next great war) I believe the aedra would intervene but also maybe the daedra will intervene and oppose the divines and the empire just a thought.
I think they will get close to their endgame I do. I just wonder what will happen to stop it, the Daedra might do something maybe Azura or even Meridia. I think that if the Thalmor get close to what they want they will have the nation fighting eachother similar to the current civil war and they will not actively fight so they can keep their true focus.

True but I kinda think the empire will fight the dominion then the player will be involved in actually stopping the Thalmor while the war plays out around them.

Now I smell a hippy Elder Scrolls wouldn't be very interesting without conflict.
Oh I'm sure it would be far from that. It's the empire that I don't find very interesting.

That could be another scenario and I could see that, but what if the war a war was someone other than the Thalmor.

Germany just needs to start printing Deutschmarks again...

Hmmmmm possibly maybe argonia will try to invade the rest of Tamriel would provide a cool chance to learn more about Black Marsh and still fit into the Thalmor's whole philosiphy (butchered that) of letting your enemies kill each other.

Argonia wouldn't even try, they are strict Isolationists because the Hist told them to be and I'm pretty sure the Hist doesn't care for the rest of Tamriel.

Also Skyrim though having strong men won't be able to bail everyone out, they've lost many wars proving they aren't the godly warriors and tacticians and aren't as strong as people make them out to be.

I guess I'd really like an excuse to explore Black Marsh though so I'm grabbing at straws.

Most likely the next game would be centered around Hammerfell which seems more interesting them wandering around a disgusting swamp of a people who can't think for themselves.

But the thing with that is the Argonians are a people who never really leave their borders they are more comfortable in their swamps and their home and their natural landscape and the Hist protect them within the borders of their land, they do not come out randomly and attack, they attacked Morrowind because they was weak after the Red Year and they wanted revenge for the Dunmer keeping slaves. It would take some great goading by the Thqlmkr for the Argonians to leave the confines of Black Marsh.

It's just I played an Argonian back in Oblivion and have just always been curious about the somewhat secret nature of Black Marsh.

I think the Umbriel crisis made the hist a lot more paranoid of outsiders hence why it refuses to allow argonians out of black marsh.

Or possibly the Thalmor trick the Argonians into thinking things the Thalmor say are orders from the hist like I said earlier though I'm really just hoping for an elder scrolls in Black Marsh I've always wanted to explore it.

True but the Argonians left then because they was undead underneath the floating city. The Argonians have only left in times that their nation was in great peril.

That would have to be some powerful magic to override the power of the Hist or maybe they could try to disconnect the race of Argonians from the Hist but that would be even more powerhouse magic. Yeah it might just be straws.:) I would like to see a game in Black Marsh too.

I've done the stormcloak questline, near the end he starts to show signs of being a tyrant, my suspicion stopped after the end where he openly admits to being one by saying that the Jarls better do what he says because his armies are in their cities.
