the empire is dead

I've done the stormcloak questline, near the end he starts to show signs of being a tyrant, my suspicion of this is the end where he openly admits to being one by saying that the Jarls better do what he says because his armies are in their cities.
This is why Ulfric must never rule. Oh and one quick question with no Dragonborn emperor how do the dragonfires stay lit keeping keeping Daedra out kinda why I'm for the whole Dragonborn conquors Tamriel idea.

Dragonfires are gone, forever. They were stopped when Martin Septim broke the Amulet of kings and became the Avatar of Akatosh to stop Mehrunes Dagon.

Thats actually not true, theres no real evidence that the Empire is oppressive or ruled by tyrants, the so called Mass executions that stormcloaks claim is also a lie, there was only one and pretty much they were all stormcloaks, they could risk anyone getting away and they couldn't tell who was a stormcloak or not, really the near execution of the Dragonborn was only because the Legate wanted to get it over with, that really shouldn't reflect the empire as a whole.

Torygg KNEW he was going to die but he still fought on, he was one of most strong in spirit characters in skyrim.

Ulfric pretty much cheated in the duel, he used his voice a thing Torygg didn't have to win, really it was more of a murder then a duel because Torygg was disarmed by said voice using and then was stabbed by Ulfric in cold blood, no real noble and honorable nord would do that even one who has the power to use the voice the duel was by far something a coward would do.

Actually the only person you have to blame for that is Ulfric, before his little civil war the Talos ban wasn't even enforced in skyrim, every nord had their own little talos shrine and he Thalmor didn't even have any agent or an embassy in Skyrim.

Its cause of ulfric if you speak to alvor in riverwood he tells you that before ulfric and his "stormcloaks" started kicking up a ruckus about the talos worship every nord had their own shrine and worshiped talos in private but because of the rebellion the empire had no choice but to enforce the law.

As the court wizard said in solitude the dominion is a sleeping beast and its not something skyrim would be able to take on by itself right now the empire is biding their time and gathering their strength until they can strike back at the thalmor.

Plus torygg agreeded with ulfric but skyrim economy depends on the empire and the empire was made by talos and torygg was not going to let that fall apart.

Wrong again I'm afraid, more Talos worshipers have actually gotten arrested after the civil war started and he did nothing about it and still does nothing about it before starting the civil war storyline. In fact even after beating the civil war in favor of the stormcloaks Thalmor agents still roam skyrim, the embassy is still around and Talos worshipers are still being arrested.

Bleh, not this again. So people really think that the Thalmor would have just let the stronghold of Talos worship continue unmolested out of... what, the goodness of their hearts?

People jabber about a lot of things. Think it through logically. The Thalmor need to eradicate Talos worship, or at least weaken it so significantly that Talos himself is taken out of the picture. Skyrim is the stronghold of Talos worship. So you're saying that they would have left Skyrim alone, even though they were persecuting the Talos cult elsewhere? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Problem is the other provinces may not like Ulfric, the Dunmer don't like him, the Orcs still prefer the legion and the Stormcloaks have shown distrust and disgust by the Orcs for living and owning land in skyrim, High rock still supports the Empire and the Redguards most likely wouldn't accept because they know two provinces wouldn't be able to take down the Thalmor as for Argonians they are still isolationists. Ulfric won't be able to build as much support as he wants as the empire could by having skyrim and high rock within their ranks which would mean that the Redguards would see that the only choice for victory would be by allying themselves with the empire in order to fight the Thalmor and the Dominion.

Maybe they couldn't prove that Talos worship was going on to the empire and weren't allowed to actually do anything without proof that a large cult or organization, I.E. Stormcloaks, that actually worshiped Talos as a god and not a man, also the Talos ban was an idea because they knew that Ulfric would be a good pawn due to him being a fanatic Talos worshiper and being the son of a very important Jarl in skyrim. This will also explain why they didn't try to push a ban on Arkay and Dibella, both having been human before being ascended to godhood.

Well to be fair about High Rock, they aren't really loyal. Most of them would spit the empire's face if given the chance. However, considering that High Rock is merely just a crap load of petty kingdoms, I doubt Ulfric can ally with all of them.

Yeah I agree I mean I can understand why the stormcloacks fight but they are not looking at the big picture imo. As Saerlund Law-Giver said he thinks ulfric cause is just but he does not support the man behind the cause since he thinks ulfric lusts for the throne nothing else. Hence why he still supports the empire and lets not forget say the stormcloacks win how will they replace what they lost in the civil war? The empire is kicked out so resources are cut off and then because the thalmor also uses magic that would put them at a disadvantage.

Actually the Altmer breed at the same pace as the human races, its just they kill babies that show disabilities and genetic disorders to keep the race "pure".

they like him more then the thalmor

But the empire has more strength and support then Ulfric even in skyrim, as for the dunmer, no they really don't want to be in the middle of a war when they are busy fixing their own country, High rock is still known to be supporters of the empire and have shown no dislike towards them, the Redguards are smart and know that showing power is better then talking about it, the Orcs have shown no distrust towards either sides but we know that the Stormcloaks have shown distrust towards them due to the orsimer being elves, same for the Dunmer.

I think it is more plausable that there will be a new guy introduced to this in DLC or later lore who kills Tullius and/or Ulfric, usurp the Empire and reconquer Skyrim, then goes on to fight the Thalmor or it happens after the Thalmor have been defeated. Hard to say what will happen though.
That would be a pretty epic dlc. It's actually a great ideia for one. I would like to have a big place in the Empire. Although i play has an Altmer
