It's been a million years since I've posted on this thread. Stopped playing skyrim for awhile but I thought I would give it a shot again (hopefully i won't get bored so quickly this time). This thread still rocks my socks and I check it often, even when I'm not playing, so thanks everyone. Anyway, new char:
Hey getzy I remember you and...

I am glad to see you back. I wish you well, with your new character. I really like that Mighty Dragon mod. You actually run for your life at lower levels. That's the way it should be,
Again, welcome back and good luck.
Any of you guys went down fighting impossible odds? what about "taking them with you" what about when you're Low health, no potions/healing spells, doing a no FT game and nowhere near civilization. do you say you let yourself bleed out and die?
Hello MKOX. I would be happy to answer your questions, but I must admit...I don't fully understand what it is exactly, you are asking.
There was one time I knew death was upon us and we had nothing else to do or anywhere else to go. My character was out of health, magicka and potions. She had just summoned a Dremora Lord to help out in a long battle against a Blood Dragon. She got caught in the open and the Dragon turned to her. I said goodbye as she turned to face the Dragon. We would die with honor.
The dragon raised his head to take a breath and kept going back. He fell dead in front of us. The next sound you herd was the Dremora Lord sheath his Greatsword and "There can be no other end"....
That was just sheer luck. If any of my characters were facing absolute death, then...yes...without question, we would go down fighting.
I hope that was at least close, to answering your question.
EDIT :
It's odd. I usually end up getting attached to all of my characters the more I play them, so I didn't spend a whole lot of time creating my DiD character because I didn't want to get attached to her. Figured she would die within the first few hours. Now that she's lasted a while, I don't want her to go! Guess that will just give me a stronger will to survive.

When I first started playing this "ironman" DID playstyle, back in the FONV threads. It was advised to do it with an off-the-wall kind of character. One that you wouldn't normally play. One that was not like a main character for a hard playthrough. That way we wouldn't get too attached to them. Well....just the opposited happened. I grew closer to these kooky chars than I had ever done before. It wasn't until then that I really started roleplaying.
A side effect that I welcomed and thus causes an even greater experience. That was when I suggested to Gunny, the OP of the FONV thread, to start a memorial. If not for that tight bond...I don't know.
