Just want to point this out to all supporters of the Empire and Stormcloaks. This is the Thalmor at hand, they are trying to take all of the land by dividing and conquering all the provinces. After the Oblivion Crisis they get power and take over the Summerset Isle. Next made Valenwood go with the A.D., but after an attack. They see the Empire and see a golden opportunity, divide the 3 parts and conquer all. Divide Hammerfell with loss of land, divide Skyrim will Talos ban, then kill of the Empire.

Its just the Thalmor using tactics to destroy the Empire one province at a time.

true but one thing does coem and bite them in the ass....with the nord population about honor and following traditions of serving Jarls, by replacing the Jarls they difuse the situations and restore order in that area. Seeing how most of the general population wasnt involved in the fighting and really didnt care and would blindly follow whoever showed themselves strong enough to be the ruler. At end of the civil war, Skyrim isnt soem crippled country barely surviving from the throngs of war...hell most of the fighting was within forts and only really 2 holds get fought over....and neither are markarth which is where the country makes most of its gold.
