The Thalmor deserve better

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:06 am

I believe that the Thalmor have the right idea as far as ruling Tamriel goes. They have proven to be the most organized and powerful governing body in all of Tamriel. They brought the Empire down, and now almost everyone is forced to follow their orders. I believe that a strong and ruthless governing body would be most effective given the history of TES. I think that all of the city states should belong to the Thamlor.

I'm in the minority about who I support but I stand by it. Stand with us and prosper, stand against us and die.

Since when should might make right, even in a medieval world? The progress of a government should be represented by the progress of its morality, and the Thalmor have proven that while they do wield considerable military power, their policies of racial discrimination are far from ideal.

It's not so much that they're particuarily powerful, just that the empire did not see the attack coming, and were unprepared. It was completely unexpected.

The Thalmor "Dominion" must end. My characters would do it themselves if there were any questlines available. Be sure, thalmor, supporter, in a PVP world, I would CHASE you!! I feel sorry for us to don't have a multiplayer system! =/

I would clean up your mind a little with my shouting skills. xD

When playing a Mer, supporting them would make some sense, but the fact remains that the way the Thalmor go about their plan is http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/StupidEvil. They act like [censored] towards everyone, and still expect cooperation. Not to mention openly attacking people for their religious views, on foreign soil. That's not a very sane long term strategy, considering they still need to recover their military strength after the Great War.

Yes, indeed. They are only pretending the soberany/dominion. The reason why they are controlling the empire instead of destroying it it's because they're as weak as the empire at the moment. So they're pressuring the empire, trying to mutilate the order only for hindering the troopa recovering.

But let me add some facts in the stupi evil thing. They are worst than stupid. They're suicide. They want to destroy the world itself for ascending to the god-thing. The Dwemer did that and they just disappeared! Altmers will have the same end, at all?

Really? The dwemer incident wasn't enough?

The empire saw them coming. They just didn't care about other provinces so by the time the Thalmor attacked Cyrodil their military power grew.

viva la resistance!

"Remember the Second Treaty of Stros M'kai and kiss your narrow asses goodbye, Aldmeri Dominion puppets! You will never have Skyrim, Hammerfell, or High Rock. We would rather die than become your tools. We will fight until there is nothing left here to take of value and we will kill you where we see you until you cannot walk safely anywhere in the free world." - Cordelia, Imperial Thief, Nightengale, Dragonborn and Stormcloak.

"You only believe you have the Empire in your pocket. Just you wait and see, Thalmor manipulator, how life is different for you when you are separated from your homeland and surrounded by peoples you only thought you had control of. We are many, we are powerful and we are driven. We will remove you like the blight you have become and we will do it carefully and without fear of recrimination because we are the Empire. We hold our breath and we swim in your swill because we have no choice while we plan our bid for freedom. You will not be ready for us when we come for you." - Julienne, Breton Spellsword, Arch Mage of the Winterhold Mage's College, Dragonborn and fierce Imperial.

Julienne... You're taking it to the personal side. XD (of course, your character. just a joke, nevermind)

In fact there's nothing the Empire can do now. The empire is corrupted and has many direct interventions from the Thalmor.

For now the Empire is a thalmor puppet. Let's see how the story ends! I am sure the thalmor won't last long.

But I would be happy to find a DLC/ new elder scrolls where you fight the thalmor. xD

Aldemeri Dominion was formed to drive out the Imperials from Summerset Isle, just like Ulfric & the Stormcloaks for Skyrim. I say Tamriel needs more diversity and it's about time the Septim bloodline stoped ruling all of it. Hammerfell is now independent because of the Thalmors and so will Skyrim be from those wretched Imperialistic pigs who think their emperor is god.

The dominion purged a lot of aldmer and bosmer dissidents. So being a mer does not automatically mean sharing their vision. Think of a tyranny that rules over Sumerset, Valenwood and part of Elsweyr. Most of the soldiers are probably just tools who are fed delusions or supremacy in the same way many unaware people believe in the lies told by the governments.

Not to mention that they took credit for ending the Oblivion crisis, which they had no hand in. It was the last mortal descendant of the god that they want to eliminate from the pantheon who did that, with the assistance of Akatosh.

Not to mention that the Redguards just handed them their asses on a platter when they drove the Thalmor/Dominion out of Hammerfell. And they did that on their own. No Empire help. They aren't even in the Empire anymore.

The Thalmore are in a far weaker position than they will ever let on.

Wanting to wipe out whole races so you can get to nirvana pretty much disqualifies a political faction for me. Call me crazy.

What about slaughtering there own people for the sake of purity. Murdering the former Kings and Queens of the Summerset Isles and executing the leaders in Valenwood inorder to take over. The slaughter of there own people for the sake of purity. Not to mention the fact they did absolutely nothing during the Oblivion Crisis but instead took credit for saving the Summerset Isles from the Daedra after Martin ended the Oblivion Crsis.

I imagine the Thalmor were hiding in somehole while the rest of there people were being slaughtered by Daedra. And when Martin Septim sacrificed himself to end the Oblivion Crisis. (Saving the entire planet). The Daedra vanished and the Thalmor took the credit, later discrediting, banishing and/or killing anyone who questioned it.

Once Summerset Isle is cleansed in a tide of Blood, Steel and Fire and The Thalmor are hanging in its streets, then we shall see if they "deserve better".
