Installing the game right now. It will certainly be a blast. Has anyone tried multiplayer? How's that been?

I played for a tiny bit. It's kinda fun. Anyone know if there is a way to sprint?

Beginning=WTF?!

I'm loving it so far but it hasn't been able to scare me as much as the first one. I have my fingers crossed.

I find the music to be much creepier in this game than in the original. I am currently walking down a dark hallway and the music is just awesomely creepy.

Just like the original game, BioShock 2 on PC still runs at 4:3 aspect ratio and crops the image for widescreen displays. And, just like the original, http://kotaku.com/5468777/bioshock-2-pc-widescreen-pissing-people-off-again.

Is this worth it, the idea of being a big daddy ruined the atmosphere for me, is the atmosphere still as good as the first.

Yes, it's still the same atmosphere overall. You're still a character who seems to be suffering from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwiHKv77oG0 in the depths of Rapture with crazy ADAM fiends all over. If it weren't for the drill on your arm and being able to wield a weapon and plasmids at the same time, you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference between playing as Delta or Jack

I dunno, I like a lot of subtle touches the game does. Like running under streams of water and hearing it hit your helmet, or when you get staggered you see the side of your helmet and stuff like that.

I got Rapture on my desk. Bought the Big Sister & Little Sister action figure combo pack. Man, was the paint job inconsistent! Found one out of, like, eight that was good. I like the Little Sister, the dress and hair are rubbery (not stiff and solid plastic). I don't like how her syringe's fluid container is painted brown, it should be more reddish. Maybe I'll buy my own modeling paints and fix that. She's got a lot of articulation for a figure so small. There's a lot of detail, really captures the Little Sister's grimy appearance (there's dirt splatters on her feet, dress, and her skin has an unhealthy pallor).

The Big Sister was done pretty well, too. Some of the joints are a bit stiff, and I was surprised that her should armor was soft and rubbery and not hard plastic. A good thing, I guess, so that it doesn't interfere as much with arm placement. The location for the elbow bend can produce some weird results depending on how you rotate the forearm. Definitely not as imposing as the Big Daddy or Subject Delta, and not particularly awe inspiring. No interchangeable gear and no weapons for her hands either. The bottom of the feet are hollow... but despite all that, it is easy to keep her vertical and stable on a flat surface, even with a Little Sister in the tank-basket on her back. Much lighter than the Big Daddy and Subject Detla, not as beefy as either, but I guess that makes sense. Hard to believe she could be much of a challenge to Subject Delta, but I can believe she'd be more agile than the Big Daddies.

My framerate is much lower than it is in BioShock 1 despite it looking about the same (I know it was slightly improved), but other than that it doesn't seem any worse than most other new releases.

BioShock 2 I average 60FPS, drops to 50ish when there's a lot going on. BioShock 1 I never dipped below 100.

I have it on the PC, and its pretty stable, only one crash, and it was because Windows forced an auto update and I am about 7 hours into the game.

It took me a while to get it running; once it was running I haven't had a single crash, not even the slightest problem and a completely stable fps maxed. Haven't tried the multi yet though.

Are 2K's forums down for anyone else? Trying to find a fix for the sound lag I've recently noticed and I keep getting a load error.

Has anyone encountered a Big Sister yet? What's it like?

As for my action figure big sister, I'm so sick of seeing no weapon in her hand(s), I'm tempted to give her one of Kratos' Blades of Athena. I've got the little sister sitting on the Big Daddy's left shoulder, with her hand around the... roll-cage?... on the big daddy's head. Looks very cute, in a sort of sad, mutant, distopian way.

Not fun, harder than a Big Daddy IMO, they are so fast. I fought my first on easy, it was semi difficult, I bumped it to medium (wish I didnt do that) seeing as going up will allow you keep achievements, but lowering the difficulty will block the achievements.

I have it for PC, do I have to have an Xbox/GFW LIVE gold account to play online?

Also, just completed the story.
Spoiler
Was kind of disappointing, no awesome twist like the first and the characters weren't as likeable/hateable. Tenenbaum got a seemingly meaningless cameo and the whole story seemed a little weak. I did enjoy the gameplay and scenery, which stick with the original Bioshock ideals. So... Story 3/5
Game 4.5/5

How well would a Nvidia 9600 (or a 9800m, same thing really) run this game?

I've played a tiny bit but it's exactly like the first but still fun.
EDIT: And for some reason my achievements aren't registering. I got 3 while playing and now it says I have none.

I can't play it because of the :swear: -ing GFWL Draconain Rights Mitigation being a piece of excrement.

Word to the curious: don't get this game, it has broken DRM hoops you can't jump through just like the first one did. :banghead: Game publishers must be punished for treating their paying customers like potential criminals, in a manner that Andrew Ryan would see as most fitting.

Anyone want a coaster? Super cheap, only $50 for it. :deal:
