I hate how they switched around the buttons for harvesting and rescuing.

Yeah, I really dont like to rescue, so I harvest them all. This last time I just accidentally rescued, I ended up reloading a save just before the fight.

I pre-ordered the super special chocolate edition but I can't play it because my history grade dropped.

Bah, getting terrible sound lag. About a half second delay between animations and audio. Hope a patch eventually fixes this, until then I guess it's back to ME2.

Played some multiplayer for a bit and did pretty well as a big daddy. Got a 8 kill streak. It's kinda overpowered but if you get your whole team to shoot at it and spam him with plasmids then it goes down fast.

Yep. I loved it. I think the overall feel of the environment was awesome. Walking through Rapture can be creepy.

How well would a Nvidia 9600 (or a 9800m, same thing really) run this game?

I've heard that 9600 is just a slightly nerfed 8800? Still, i have a 9600GT and am also interested in this.

I hear this game uses Xbox for Windows Live, but does it still have as strong DRM as the first? I think i've also heard that widescreen support was botched the same way as in BioShock 1?

I have it for PC, do I have to have an Xbox/GFW LIVE gold account to play online?

There are no "Gold" accounts for PC anymore, Microsoft discovered that PC players don't want to pay for multiplayer. According to other GFWL games i have, an online GFWL account is needed to play mp.

The game uses a SecuROM-based disc check for the retail copy in addition to Games For Windows - LIVE's standard 15 activation limit per product key. It doesn't matter if you use the key on the same Live account multiple times, each time you enter it it counts as an activation. So, after 15 installs you'll have to call up Microsoft to get your product key reset. Fun experience, when I called MS to get my key for Fallout 3 reset I talked to two reps that didn't even know they could reset them, eventually being transferred to someone that was able to help.

You also can't save your game unless signed into GFWL (although you can just use an online profile, you aren't required to actually go online).

As for the widescreen fiasco, they had originally learned their lesson form BioShock and the correct FOV settings were implemented in BioShock 2, but while doing a last minute bug fix that was reverted and the game shipped with the same broken widescreen support as the first. 2K Elizabeth said a patch will be along shortly and came up with http://downloads.2kgames.com/cultofrapture/widescreen/widescreen_after.jpg demonstrating the post-patch widescreen support.

Huh? I've installed FO3 multiple times, and never had any trouble with LIVE. Are you saying that every time you install FO3 (Or Bioshock 2 in this case) an activation is used up?

If I do need to reset, is calling them the only way? I'm deaf. -_-

Yep, every GFWL game has a limit of 15 activations. Once you reach that it'll tell you that your product key has been used the maximum number of times and it'll prompt you to either call Microsoft or simply purchase a new key.

I didn't see any other option besides calling, so someone may need to take care of that for you if/when you run into that problem.

Oh just [censored] great. I wonder how many more times my FO3 can activated. *sigh* I suppose I'll need to get a friend to do it for me. What information did you need to give them?

The guy I talked to wanted my gamertag and the old product key, then gave me a new one. Seems their service varies a bit though, as I seaid before, two customer service reps didn't even know they could reset/give you a new one.

I've played a tiny bit but it's exactly like the first but still fun.

Great, now I just have to stay away from the multiplayer.

I think I am pretty close to the end, and so far it has been quite fun, not as good as the first but its still great.

Does it still have that annoying hack mini-game? God I hated that.

No, they implemented a completely new and much less annoying mini game, its much like the jobs from Fable 2 where you have to hit the timed strips.

A question that will determine wheter i push Steams buy button or not: Someone in another forums implied that this game has infinitely respawning enemies used everywhere. Is this true, or did i misunderstand him?

The two N7 missions in Mass Effect 2 with infinite respawns are all i can handle this year.

Not entirely, I find that maybe 1 or 2 enemies will pop up in areas that I have been through already, but not all of the enemies.

Good to hear. I liked the first one enough that i think i'll get this. "More of the same" is a good thing in this case.
