http://www.bioshock2game.com/en/ the official site. Also http://www.somethinginthesea.com/home.html
Will you be pre ordering it? I loved the first game and hope the sequel can live up to it.
Let's discuss.
Since there's multiplayer in this one, just post your Steam ID, Gamertag, or PSN id. PM me if I don't add you to the list after a while.

Not going to pre-order it since I never do with games but will certainly pick it up at some point.

Hell yes. Pre-ordering whatever super-special edition I can get my hands on. I love Bioshock.

I'm really excited for Bioshock 2! I loved the first one.

And I disagree with adding multiplayer.

I wouldn't mind the vinyl and that art book, but I'll barely have the $50 for the game itself. Really looking forward to it though, along with a handful of other games next year.

Seconded.

However, I'm really, really looking forward to this one. It'll be a preorder. It's kind of funny that this thread popped up now, because I was just considering starting my second playthrough of the first about 30 minutes ago.

Loved the first one, can't wait.

Multiplayer looks fun, but I get bored of competitive modes very quickly.

Yeah I did a 2nd playthrough about a month ago. Not as enjoyable as the first but still fun. I love the atmosphere in this game, very creepy.
Also I hope they focus on the single player more rather than multiplayer, unlike other gaming companies.

Eh, it's being done by a completely different studio, so it's unlikely that it'll be taking any resources whatsoever from the single-player team, or even cross their minds. Besides, it actually sounds sorta fun, doesn't appear to be just a tacked on experience.

Well that's good I guess.
Also It's fun messing around on the official website and finding stuff. Draw a smile on the face of the drawing in one of the rooms.

Multiplayer actually doesn't sound bad in this one, from an article I read it is supposed to actually have some sort of quest-line story to it.

I want it so bad. I want like 9 more bioshocks. the beginning of Bioshock where you see all of rapture from inside your little boat thingy reminds me every time that we only saw a tiny part of the city in the first game.

but I swear with every BGS forumer, a random guy from id and Eddie Murphy as my witnesses, if their precious little multiplayer IN ANY WAY screws up the single player experience, I will personally kick the ass of everyone who was involved in the multiplayer aspect of Bioshock 2.

and maybe the rest of them too for allowing the multiplayer to take time away from the part that matters.

The beginning of Bioshock was also my favorite part. Swimming up to the lighthouse and then when you finally reach Rapture was awesome.

Spoilers also. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVR2gZANx10 when I first played Bioshock.
Especially Andrew Ryan's small speech.
"Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.' 'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture."

I'm looking forward to it, but I probably wont pick it up at release. I generally wait for the price to drop when I want to buy a PC game that isn't an RPG.

From a gameplay stand-point, I didn't really enjoy Bioshock, I found it somewhat dull and not in the least bit scary (unlike System Shock 2), however artistically it's absolutely amazing. The gorgeous architecture (I spent far, far more time ogling the scenery than I should have), the way the background story slowly comes together until the horrifying whole is revealed, the fantastic deconstruction of the standard faceless FPS hero, just amazing.

I've got it pre-ordered as a late Christmas present, can't wait to get my hands on that vinyl and art book.

Soon going to pre-order that and Splinter Cell Conviction and Mass Effect 2 on Newegg.com. Some of my most anticipated games of next year.

This.

The only game I'd pre-order is God of War III, but I don't even have a PS3, so it'd be a waste of money. Somehow I will try to survive with out all the awesome stuff. ;_; I'd also want Darksiders, but I don't know if it'll even turn out to be a good game. Exclusive content makes me feel so excluded.

... I want it, but I want mass effect 2 aswell, and weights to stay in shape, to many games releasied to close together.

The beginning of Bioshock was also my favorite part. Swimming up to the lighthouse and then when you finally reach Rapture was awesome.

Yeah, its atmosphere was great, feel bad that in 2 im a big daddy it ruins the survival part of the game.

Soon going to pre-order that and Splinter Cell Conviction and Mass Effect 2 on Newegg.com. Some of my most anticipated games of next year.

Was looking at that before but splinter cell looks annoying with hints/objectives in the environment.
