Morihaus, Heldon, Belharza's legacy and Perrif's Falconers
I have read recently that Morihaus was often associated with the thu'um. So I think it would be nice to have some DLC featuring him.
I thought a little to it, and added to it ideas I had already mentioned elsewhere and here is the result which is probably very frenzy -- and lore-wise, I don't know whether it makes sense.
It is knwon that during the Alessian revolution, Humans got as much help to defeat Ayleids tyrants from rival Ayleid princes as they got from Skyrim's Nedes. Perhaps Minotaurs were enslaved by Ayleid tyrants as well, so one could also discover that some intelligent tribes of Minotaurs helped Alessia's Humans as well.
The fact that Morihaus can take the form of a winged bull could be explained by the fact he was originally a Minotaurian deity, and perhaps some Minotaurs were able to use the Voice. Perhaps it would let us discover whether the second Emperor of the Alessian dynasty, Belharza the Man-Bull, was or wasn't a Minotaur.
If he was a Minotaur, then one could ask how the Empire went to Humans. Here it becomes totally frienzy. What about a DLC featuring the Ayleid city of Heldon (mentioned in the Song of Pelinal)? It would be located in the Northern Jerall Mountains. But actually, it would have vanished from the world in some way, as did the Isle of Artaeum.
Actually the city would have been hidden by the Psijic Order. The reason would be the following. One could discover that the Alessian revolution was at first aiming at getting rid of perverted Ayleid tyrants, and of insane slavery. Some Ayleid princes joined it, either for philosophical or religious reasons, or for more cynicla ones. With such noble aims, maybe the Alessians benefitted from the help of the Psijic Order.
But as time passes by, a racist hatred would have arised among Humans,as well as claims for supremacy. This new motion would have turn Human against their non-human allies, as well Minotaurs as Ayleids. Such a hatred wouldn't have, of course the support of Artaeum. At some point in History, between the death (racist assassination?) of Belharza and the rise of Marukh, the new ruler of Heldon, be it a Man, a Minotaur or an Ayleid, could have been frightened enough by the rise of Humanists (to be taken in a pejorative neologic meaning) to ask the help of the Psijic Order, which concealed the city and made it fade away from the visible world and from memories... (Perhaps the ruler of Heldon was the legitimate heir of Belharza?)
Hence, in a DLC, one could discover Heldon again. A concealed mountain city, with a concealed Bridge over a concealed valley, and possibly a concealed network of caverns. Such a place would be extremely interesting to explore due to its multiculturality. Its population would be constituted by intelligent Minotaurs, urban Ayleids and Humans who evolved from the Tribes of the Men-of-'kreath, the Keptus and the Strongs of Sedor. Possibly some Falmers who weren't poisoned by the Dwemers? Hence, it would have a mixed and various architecture, and an interesting religious background. It could also be an occasion to reintroduce Morihaus's Lord Mail and possibly new Morihaus- or Shezarr-related artifacts. And new sets of weapons, armors, and clothing. And why not enchanted Minotaurian nose rings ^^?
One could even add falconery to the game, if Heldon's guard is constituted (among others) by the heirs of Periff's Falconers. I think falconery would be great in Skyrim.
Also, I suppose a city where Humans, Minotaurs and Ayleids live in peace would draw the (malevolent) attention of both the Thalmor and the Stormcloaks.
But I realize that such a DLC would need much, much work to create new models, new non-playale races, new artifacts, and a whole cultural backgroud.
In fact, it gives a quite good idea of the kind of DLC I'm hoping for. Give us plenty of new lore, stories and items!
I realize it still provides no explaination for the fact that all Minotaurs we got to see in TES IV were stupid creatures... Yet it would explain that Brenus Astis's studies on Cyrodiilic fauna mentions that Minotaurs were once thought to be intelligent.
Thoughts? Is it far to frenzy?
