I think it is funny how people don't get what a Shadowscale is...

A Shadowscale is an Argonian that is born under the sign of the Shadow. At the day of their hatching, they are taken from their parents and are trained as Skill Assassins from that day until they are old enough to become part of the Dark Brotherhood or an "assassin of the government" for Black Marsh.

So two things I saw incorrect here.

1: You CANNOT train Shadowscales that easy. It takes a lifetime, basicly.
2: The person gotta be an Argonian and Born under the sign of the Shadow.

So anybody's idea about training others to become Shadowscales is currently Not-Lore-Friendly and Beth wouldn't add them.

An expansion of the main story, like a follower of Alduin trying to take revenge..
Travelling to Hammerfell from Falkreath (However I understand this could be the setting for a future game..)
More of the 'time wounds' so you can travel to different periods of time with the elder scroll. The scroll can't be dicarded after all, so I suspect this is already being considered.. Maybe to when the dwemer were around? Loads more........

I know everything about the lore on Shadowscales (not hard to do so, it's barely even a paragraph, a stub in the lore), and I know that person was mistaken about being able to train Aventus Aretino as a Shadowscale, since he's not Argonian. I just didn't bring that up. But if I were to say whether or not they'll ever do anything with Shadowscales again in the series, my money is on the notion that they won't and that is final. On the other hand, however,
Spoiler
they did tease at the possibility of the DB reestablishing a Shadowscale training facility in Archon in the future once they have the resources to do so.
Not sure how they would do that however, I guess they would just need to conjure up the ghosts of dead Shadowscales to train new ones or maybe the trainers don't need to be Argonian themselves or what. They never fully explained anything about the organization itself. I think they never intended for it to be anything other than background information for filler characters, and was never meant to have any fans latch on to the concept. But in my opinion, they should have fleshed it out more instead of throwing it immediately out the window, but it's their lore.

Rumor has it that Hammerfell is going to be the setting for TESVI, probably true, though I would still take it with a grain of salt anyway. Plans do change. Regarding Skyrim DLC, I don't really see them doing other provinces for DLC, at least not Hammerfell anyway. And no, let's not turn this into a discussion about where TESVI will be set. There's already a thread for that. But for ideas of what they could do for Skyrim DLC, I do like many of the ideas in this topic.

I'm tending to believe this rumor [link], in general... as far as the locations go.

...the other details I take with a grain of salt, they sound like they're from brainstorming sessions and lots of it may end up on the cutting room floor.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1355089-apparent-leaked-dlc/

I believe it because it jives with why the distant lands beyond Skyrim are topographically correct.

Of course, if they are willing to cut all that work out for themselves and they still do not work out a spellmaking system for the current magic system I will still be disappointed. It is not impossible, it is just a lot of work to make unique effects for the various combinations... it will still likely need to be limited to 2-3 effects [like the way Alchemy is limited to 3 ingredients] to be manageable. But really, if the rumor is true... if Bethesda is going to turn Skyrim into some magnum opus... it will still feel incomplete without The Elder Scrolls signature magic system.

This thought has been with me awhile... So I thought I'd post it for the hell of it. So I've always been enamored by druid style animal and nature magic. I was thinking a whole druid skill tree, starting with some sort of basic plant style spells since there are none such as maybe making roots grow up and hold and enemy, and the ability to transmute into different animals the farther you get into the skill tree IE: starting with small and very fast such as maybe a fox for escaping.... and bears later. Skyrim seems like a game that would really be able to take advantage of this style of magic. I don't know, just another idea.

the moderator said to use this thread. i dont know if they plan to delete the other one or not so im movin my post to here. below is the post and i am going to attempt to reaquire the horse pic links. i hope im doin everything in such as way as to not violate any kind of copyright laws but it seems a pic of a horse on a horsebreeding site isnt exactly intellectual property in the sense of entertainment and media...is it? i think im good...right? anyways below is the original post. with new links.

i want some females tending the stables so that i can marry them...you know...since my horses die on almost a daily basis maybe i can get replacement horses for free like how when you marry a chick at the alchemist shop you can get some stuff from there.

but for serious content i want to see another daedric realm. those were fun. and what exactly is supposed to happen to all the absorbed souls? i havnt beat the storyline of the game yet so i dont know if thagt gets resolved in any way...id also like to see an underwater realm...maybe waterbreathing spells could solve the drowning issue and there could be merfolf anf sharks for and giant squid attacking ships for enemies...so kinda a sailing expidetion that includes underwater regions of the far north maybe a expidition to explore the north pole....and for easter egg you could stick a santa like wonderland elf village up there at the pole :3

thats santa elves norse european style tho not american santa. american santa is plain and lam,e , sorry....i love celtic santa or norse santa best....with sleighs for land travel....and either dogs or bears or even with reindeer

i also want new horse colors for any new areas presented....such as maybe this leopard appaloussa shown on this wiki with other types of appaloossa as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appaloosa

these roans are equisite

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roan_%28horse%29

interesting on the same site is the one named "jesses zanparr buck". see the ones named "bta brandy alexander" for the buckskin, also " sheeza nugget j dream" for a beautiful red mottled. "charlette tarrelle" is an interesting shade of grey. this light grey is beautiful, maybe with a lighter grey mane look for the pic with the name "sir prize".

http://mywebshoppe.com/sold.html

so aside from all that if i think of anything else will post it here somewhere

back on the possibly unresolved dragon storyline of skyrim...maybe you find a relic on a dragon you kill that leads to another main quest line thru the underground of skyrim? like the majority of the expansion could take place underground in huge cavernous worlds where either the falmer are at, or some sort of dragon cult...perhaps underground are ancient forgotten mysterious crystal power sources other than just the dwemers...perhaps the dwemers back then had unleashed something below that wants to get out and you the player have to stop it...perhaps there is more to this dragon business than first meets the eye...perhaps there are many more dragons sleepin underground...perhaps this relic is what has turned the dragons evil and destroying it will end their evil and return them to their former glory and peace between men and dragons can be once more...perhaps the dragonborn himself must die to achieve this.....but weep not for death is but the beginning...

perhaps if the game does not want to end play with the death of the dragonborn it could then continue on with either his soul as a ghost on the other side finding a way back to life or it could be that the magic of the ritual or the newly good aligned dragons will ressurrect him and bless him with special gifts...or perhaps he takes his true form as a dragon and you get to shapeshift back and forth between your original character form and your dragon form just like with the werewolf. there are so many possibilities

I hope that the next DLC is going to involve either the complete defeat of the Empire by the Stormcloaks, or a civil war inside the Empire itself. (Perhaps a fight between Tullius' troops and the Oculatus). Depending on what side you chose while playing.

(The main quest would be hard to progress since *shock shock* Alduin is dead.)

A neat idea would be to bring a Daedric lord onto Skyrim in the flesh (maybe Molag Bal) similar to Dagon's appearance in Oblivion.

Well since they managed in one week to add a whole new skill to Lycantrophy I think it'd be nice with more skills. Lycantrophy, Traps, Spears, whatever, more skills.

Gingy, didn't they already do that with Sanguine though?

I'd like to see more storyline/game play with the guilds. I absolutely loved the Companions and the Thieves Guild quests (really liked the Mage College too), but they were over so quickly. I really want more major quests involving several members of the Companions (and Thieves Guild) that you accompany or lead through several objectives. There are so many stories to tell here! I didn't realize what a major part of the game these NPCs/Guilds were for me until their quests were almost over. I wanted to do a lot more in those guilds. It was a lot more fun rising through their ranks, working with guild members one on one and in a group. I really hope there are more adventures ahead for the dovahkiin with these guilds because I miss that part of the game more than anything else. The radiant quests are awesome, but I want more guild stories. : )

It would be really cool to interact with the remaining dragons that are friendly to the dovahkiin, so I'd love to see that in a future DLC.

Doing major assignments for the Jarls (as Thane of their holds) would be a lot of fun too, not just retrieval-type quests. Maybe having conflicts with the other Thanes, earning our keep as Thane, etc., defending the city against a major attack.

Fighting the Thalmor. And have it based on whether you went with the Stormcloaks or the Imperials.

Psijic Monks!! I loved these guys and would love to have them interfere some more in Skyrim. : )

More Sanguine and Sheogoroth!!! I love these guys so much and would love to see them return to mess with our beloved dovahkiin. With major storylines and not just a single quest chain.

Just some thoughts. : )

Vampire feeding on non sleeping NPC. There are too many... mm... bandits in Skyrim  I don't want wait while someone will go sleep. And vampire perks with more social reactions when my hero become vampire. More hating, suspicion(...ess), needing live in secrets and hiding true nature...

Of course, Evolution the Thalmor Inqusition and fighting with it.

And MORE dwemers!!!

The Game Jam stuff can be included in patches until they release a bigger expansion. And I hope that expansion adds a LOT to the factions and perhaps another land mass although I don't really care where it is as long as it stays far, far away from Sheogorath

I think we are going to get some Summerset Isles stuff, maybe going back to imperial city and im hoping some Vigilant of Stendarr stuff, it would be cool if there would be some sort of "good" options to deal with Daedric princes.

Just a little idea : why not a perk tree for the use of staves?

And a less little one :

Sai Cult (again) from the viewpoint of a Falmer-centric DLC

Well, I have already mentioned this idea, but it would be nice to have something related to Sai, the ancient Nord God of luck. I have even wondered whether he was the totemic deity related to the wolves, but I don't think so now, since I think he came after Ysgramor. Perhaps Grellan is, as very little is known about him, but I doubt it...

I have thought again to it, and Sai would afford many opportunities.

First, various elements lead me to think that Sai's cult has gone extinct. It is to my best knowledge mentioned nowhere, or nearly nowhere in the game, and Nords don't hesitate to kill wolves.

On the other hand, the fall of Falmers is thought to be at least partially due to Sai. In the case of a Falmer-centric, DLC, where the Falmer "change again" and would try to recover their lost glory, it would be no wonder that frightened superstitous Nords would try to turn back to Sai's cult.

Since Sai is of Human origin, I suppose the Thalmor would consider worshipping him as an abomination, for the very same racist reasons as it forbids Talos cult. Therefore, a quest allowing the player to resurrect Sai cult would obviously lead to a resurgence of tensions between Skyrim and the Thalmor, regardless of the faction the player has chosen to join in the civil war. It would possibly open a whole political questline.

Since the Thalmor work for the supremacy of Mers, they could be keen to help the Falmers to recover their power. However, things are often not as easy, and ideologies often fade away from the thirst of power. I am not sure the Thalmor would welcome a new actor with whom it would have to share the power it has acquired in Skyrim, be it or not a nation of Mer brethrens. And accordingly, I am not sure the Falmers would accept the rules of the Aldmeri Dominion.

Also, if I was a Falmer trying to build a Falmer nation on Skyrim, I would know that nothing would be expected from Stormcloaks, and I would trust neither the Empire nor the Thalmor. But there is another potential ally I would try to encounter.

Foresworns.

Foresworns and Falmers are both outlaws on what they consider their own land. A common ennemy can forge strong objective alliance.

So here is the point. A Falmer awakening would probably make the political and religious situation in Skyrim much more complicated than it already is. It would probably cause a resurgence of Sai's cult, and hence provide a new joinable faction for the player. Moreover, it would be an occasion to let the player join or help other factions whose interests aren't necessarily convergent nor divergent. Thalmor, Foresworn, Stormcloaks, the Empire, Sai cultists, Falmer bellicist who wants to recover their glory by the ways of Ebonarm, Falmer pacifists who want to recover their land through diplomacy. This would provide a nice continuation, in a deeper way, to the civil war questline, and would also provide a nice network of temporary or long-lasting allegiances to swear, alliances to forge, to prevent or to break...

The situation would be much more complex, and thus much more exciting...

So, are these good ideas? (Many of them have probably already been stated, but repetition doesn't harm, does it?)
