Golden Apples are apparently now viable as a quick health boost.

Off Topic, I found that clip of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO7Uyjdypfc, after what, a month

I believe Redpower does that. You can cut most blocks into smaller and smaller pieces.

As an idea BTW is great but as an actual mod it is so outdated. It doesn't work with any other mod.

What I meant is we don't need the new smaller blocks. Just more half blocks/slabs. And have them compatible with other half blocks to create a full block that's half and half if 2 materials.

My main problem is, if someone taught me how to install Technic, would it be compatible with Painterly? I really dont want to go back to Default minecraft.

It will. Lucky for you, I am also working on a Painterly-based and inspired extension for most of the mods I run, many of which are in Technic too. I might grab the client just to see what further modifications I would need to make if I end up running it, and it would help to have your Painterly pack customizer code if you want a copy. The telethon-made textures are also being encoded into the customizer right now, so you might want to keep checking it in case you see some new textures you like.

That's kind of what I was getting at with the BTW comparison, but most everyone else wants Technic for the server, and I'd rather not be left in the dust.

Techni pack is now live on a second instance of the server. You will need the Tekkit client located here http://technicpack.net/?page_id=290

place the zip in its own folder or the installer will not work. Be sure to have a CLEAN INSTALL of minecraft for it to install over.

(my bad, no quests in this version... its a beta)

I don't know if this will be the main technic map as its for testing. hell, im not even opped on this server :P. Tank had to go do something.

RULES:

If you find valuable resources, be sure to claim it unless you want to share it.

That'd be awesome. :o

As for your 'Just play Minecraft', I'm of the same attitude, but as you said, I'd hate to not be able to play with the other users.

1 - Right I'm on the site, I've downloaded the DIRECT CLIENT thingy, its not a .zip folder but rather a .7z, which is also not a folder. Am I clicking the wrong thing?
2 - Put it into it's own folder, what am I just dumping it in my .minecraft folder with everything else?
I assume a clean install means no other mods, so that should be OK, anyone know how to help with steps 1 and 2

EDIT: I don't even have a /mods folder

Download winrar, Extract it to its own folder. Run the Jar file. Full install and you're golden.

Right, as fun as Technic seems, I might hold off for a more stable release. Server restarts every 2 minutes sorta spoil the fun.
