OMG, poor poor poor choice of words! :lmao:

Lol, this thread is great, but we should really cool it a bit before the Mods come in and lock it for spam or something.

HA!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Didn't want a perk reset.
Still don't want a perk reset.
Seriously hoping this is a one time deal.

TES VI: Amalur.

I suppose in a sense that it devalues the idea of choice, but then again this is an evolving RPG. I see nothing wrong with a little leeway on something like a high level character that you just wanted to fix a mistake you made a long time ago and are either attached to or emotionally invested in and don't want to start over.

Why? How does it bother you?

Because it is a game already largely devoid of consequence.

So question, do you advocate the removal of console for PC players?

A perk respec without NEW perks is a waste of coding. If anything is glitchy I hope it's this feature.

Why would I? A perk reset in game is not the same as resetting your perks via console.

Ironically, it solves more glitches than it causes.

Both are player made decisions.
Do, or do not. There is no in between.

You are all fans of The Elder Scrolls and you are fully entitled to your own opinions. I apologize for the manner in which I voiced mine and for creating such a stir.

True, but the consequences I'd rather see are ones that are in quests and storylines, not ones that affect gameplay. If I use it to get rid of a skill tree completely, then that is one thing. But I think most will only use it to tweak a perk or two.

Why wouldn't you? It is the same.

So a PC player who chooses a perk and decides he doesn't like it and uses the console to remove it. Isnt that void of consequences?

Actually, it is... Because it is OPTIONAL!

And this one is much more rp friendly than just using console commands.

What I wanna know, is...and be honest...are there people who go through their perks and see where they misspent, and they grimace...Maybe their chin wavers...
...maybe they shed a manly tear, as they lament the spending of that perk...
And they utter "it was my decision... Now I live with it." And they scroll away from that skill tree before it gets to them...

XD When did perk allocation become akin to choosing with of your children to shoot?

Since "consequences".

The console isn't the same. It serves a purpose, that it allows you to also reset your perks is irrelevant.

One is a conscious dev decision to add to the game, the other is a side effect of a necessary tool.

Oh, the delicious butthurt :P

I staunchly defended the idea of perk reset, only to be shot down by "consequences" bullets and destroyed by "new game" grenades.

I see that I picked the winning side :P

Looks like Judgemaster Developer has witnessed the fight between Paladins of Perk Reset and Knights of New Game. And finally said "Enough of this new char bullcrap, I'm not going to invest 100 more hours just to taste Shadow Warrior!"

I think his problem is also that it's now canon. Before, it was one of those things you did in private, but never really talked about. Like mastvrbation. Now, it's made a part of lore and "socially acceptable". Like mastvrbation. As such, it might start a trend that could possibly have bad consequences down the road. Like that kid who died from mastvrbation. Personally, I don't care, as I'll probably do this fairly often. Like sleeping.

P.S.-What did you think I'd say? You all have sick minds and disgust me.

I have learned from this thread that it is now ok for me to mastvrbate in front of all of you.

XD It's a game mechanic!
It will never be written about in the books and lore if Tamriel! These are not what appears in the Elde Scrolls! XD

Next someone is going to say the only reason we see an inventory screen instead of manually going through a backpack is because of CHIM.

You are all fans of The Elder Scrolls and you are fully entitled to your own opinions. I apologize for the manner in which I voiced mine and for creating such a stir.

It is not the fact that you disagree. It is just how you presented your argument. I actually agree with you somewhat. I see both sides of the coin. On one hand it starts to set a trend for easier gameplay and serves to make the game a tad more casual, and in a certain way makes the choosing of perks less important. On the other hand, it is very convenient, fixes certain glitches, doesn't really make drastic changes considering you're still hindered by health, magicka, and stamina, not to mention your skill number, and it is done in a very rp friendly and completely avoidable way.

The fixing of my shield charge perk alone makes it worth it. I was agreeing with you up until the point that you started getting mad at what other people do in their game and calling them lazy. If you only said that it sets a trend for future games to come, I'd agree, but you seem to be mad that people don't play the way you play or think the way you think. That my friend is absurd.

Either way, I'm sorry that a few of the members couldn't help but insult you, and I'm sorry you got ganged. Welcome to the forums. [censored] happens.
