We're nearing the final stretch here with only twelve days to go. They should be able to hit 2.1 million which will insure Chris Avellone will be helping out. But now they're hoping to get over 2.5 million or 3 million which is wishful thinking imo. Even though it'd be awesome.

I can see the $2.1m being hit before this is up but like you I can't see it going past $2.3m. I wish it would but I just don't have any more cash to give.

I do wish they hit the 2.5 mark, at least, while 3 is definitely out of reach.

I think $2.5 m (probably even more) is doable... Projects thus far have tended to have a significant spike in the last day.

You have, but it will destroy your marriage. :P

I predict it will get to ~$2.2m-$2.3m by the end.

This is very true. Did anyone catch update #8?

Brian said they are doing pre-production stuff like concept artwork and what-not. I hope they start posting teaser stuff.

EDIT - As of a few minutes ago it hit $2,023,210. This includes the Paypal donations.

I also get the impression in that you've never played Wasteland and are too young to have even known about it before the Kickstarter.

I get the same impression. I'm also currently playing Divinity II. A new game, yet not a watered down pile of crowd-pleasing crud like the major studios are guilty of churning out title after title. "My hair is a bird", etc.

Yay! As long as nobody pulls out MCA is a go. I'd like to see them hit that 2.5 mark, but I don't see it happening. 3m is just impossible.

Martyr is somewhere inbetween

He shakes his fists at both teenagers and old people
This. I shake my fist at anyone I damn well please. :spotted owl:

I've been meaning to ask as well. Martyr, I backed Wasteland 2. Does that mean I'm also stuck in the past?Cause, as far as I know I love a lot of newer games. I also get the impression in that you've never played Wastelanb and are too young to have even known about it before the Kickstarter.
I've known about Wasteland for a while, read up on the plot and characters, etc, but no, I've never played it, but I'd like to. I just know it as the inspiration for Fallout in broad strokes. I'd like to get my hands on Wasteland, but I'd like to find a legal copy, not a pirate copy.

It might be possible to get GOG to sell it..

Again, I don't think GOG is going to be able to sell it. Mainly due to how EA still clutches it in the filthy pig hoofs. What I truly see happening is EA dropping an anniversary edition of Wasteland 1 as the release date for Wasteland 2 draws near. Just so they can capitalize on it. I hope I'm wrong and we do see it on GOG soon but I'm not hopeful based on how EA is a bunch of money grubbing [censored]s who'd sell their own mother's if it'd make them more money.

Pledged $15. Never played the first one. Played FO2 long after it came out and enjoyed the complexity. Pretty sure I'll like this game if it's even in the same ballpark.

Watch for my name in the credits. :D I'm immortalised!

Okay, place your bets. Whoever's closest wins nothing. I'm guessing $2.5m at the end.

Nicely atmospheric piece, I might add.

Well on our way to 2.5 mil also. $2,178,244 pledged (Kisckstarter and PayPal) thus far - and counting.

Optimistically, $3 m is within reach. Pessimistically, $2.5 m. Go, baby, go!

That's really optimistic expectation. A bit too optimistic, perhaps. There's 9 days and 16.5 hours left, and even with the possible burst in the final days, that's still 860,000 to go for the 3mil. I'm a bit pessimistic by nature, and do not believe the last burst will be anything really, really special (despite DoubleFine's being quite spectacular). I'd say 2.8mil at the very max - and hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised in the end.
