I also saw a Shishkebab at some point if memory serves.

You did, it's confirmed in the game. :)

I wonder if the 9mm pistols that look like colt 1911's are compareable to the STI Eagle 6.0 in RE 3

I kinda doubt it they're just regular old Browning Hi-powers and there's nothing wrong with that.

damdamdamdam a bit of news.

lol when i counted all the weapons on the Wiki Fo3 had 72 Non-Uniques and 63 Unique weapons. a total of 135 weapons.

And new vegas had as another guy said at the first page 76 weapons.

I only counted FO3's non-unique vanilla (base game, no DLC) weapons and came up with 54. When they made the claim that NV would have more weapons than FO3, I believe they meant that literally, ie:vanilla FO3, not DLC. As for NV weapons, I'm only counting confirmed weapons, but there will probably be quite a few more FO3 weapons in NV that we haven't seen yet. I expect there'll be about 100-120 weapons in vanilla NV.

Edit: I just realized I made and error in the OP. I wrote 44 instead of 54 FO3 weapons. Woopsy.

What Killer said. This is beyond doubt very closely modeled after one of John Moses Browning's other pistol designs, the FN/Browning GP35, otherwise known to all as the Browning Hi-Power. It is similar in design to the M1911, but Browning had to change quite a few things to circumvent his own Patents (owned by Colt's). Among them are the Hi-Power did not use the toggle link to disengage the barrel lugs from the slide, but a solid bar and ramp on the underside of the barrel. The most noticeable exterior differences wold be the grip angle, the hammer profile and the machining on the front of the slide. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c2/Browning_High-Power_9mm_IMG_1526.jpg.

Wow, I've heard lots of times there will be around twice as many weapons than there were in FO3.
But there's something about looking at those numbers that gives me more psyche to it. :)

54 to 80 so far. If you add in the other weapons we know will be in because of Josh's "two per caliber" claim, that makes it at least 83. Add in all the other grenades and mines (take out Nuka-grenade, add in incindiary mine) and that's 7 more, so we're up to 90. We're a little light on unarmed (4 vs 5) so I expect at least two more unarmed weapons also. Just a hunch, but I'm getting pretty good at reading the tea leaves, so to speak.

Just for the hell of it, here's a list of FO3 weapons available for inclusion (ie: models already made and easy to include) with my prediction of likelyhood of inclusion (High chance, decent chance, poor chance)

Spiked Knuckles
Deathclaw Gauntlet
Pool Que
Rolling pin
Police Baton (Wait. I've seen one of these. It's in.)
Switchblade (same with this. I remember confirming this a long time ago from pip-boy shots in the e3 trailer)
Combat knife
Lead Pipe

Chinese Officer's Sword
Ripper
Steel Saw
Auto Saw

Shovel
Axe

Shock Baton
Chinese Pistol
.32 Pistol
Silenced 10mm Pistol
BB Gun
Dart Gun
Scoped .44 Magnum

Assualt Rifle
Chinese Assault Rifle

Infiltrator
Lever-Action Rifle

Railway Rifle
Sawed-off Shotgun

Combat Shotgun
Double Barrel Shotgun
Alien Blaster
Mesmatron
Tesla Cannon
Alien Atomizer
Alien Disintegrator

Rock-it Launcher
Heavy Incinerator
Drone Cannon

Pulse Grenade
Pulse Mine
Plasma Grenade
Plasma Mine
Frag Mine
Bottlecap Mine

Nuka-Grenade
Cryo-Grenade
Cryo-mine

That's a total of 46 more weapons that the models are already made and just waiting for inclusion. There are some that would make no sense to include, ie: Nuka Grenade, the Alien weapons, maybe the Henry styled Lever-Actions, but I bet a whole bunch of these will end up in the game. I mean, why not? The hard work's already done. All they would have to do was knock a few numbers around in the geck to balalnce them a little better. Right?

I am hoping that the double barrel from point lookout is in. That gun was awesome. Also who believes that the trail carbine will be a short barrelled repeater? I really like those rifles.

.44 Magnum Trail Carbine, said to be modeled after a Winchester 1873? Sure thing. The Double Barrel may fall prey to the other double barrel, the caravan gun, a superposed over-under, but as I just stated above, why NOT include the weapons already made? It would make little sense.

I'm hoping for the side by side double barrel and R91 almost every other weapon introduced in FO3 can die.

I NEED the R91! Favorite weapon in FO3. Suppressed or a mod for a tighter spread, and hopefully a single shot conversion kit with a scope and i'll be set

What you don't like wacking people with tire irons? Its fun to kill them with junk weapons or reused prewar tools.

And yes hope the R91 is in.

Yup. Thanks for the reminder. I also wish I could see the long swords that the 2 Legionaires are sharpening there. I can't tell if it's a new model or old. crap.

Yah, I saw those. Have there been any models that big confirmed yet? And when the two Legionaires are attacking the training dummies, are those machetes or new swords? I can't really tell.

I think they're machetes, but could be the new legion short swords. No long swords have been confirmed yet (well, by name I mean. Those are certainly long swords being sharpened). I hope they're a new model. I'm starting to think that Josh has pulled all the Chinese weapons off the table. I think there's not gonna be any overt Chinese presence around NV so you can probably say goodbye to the Chinese Assault Rifle, Sword and Pistol.

Edit: I'm updating the OP with changes as we find more stuff, so you may want to http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119668-weapons-mods-and-ammo-mega-thread-7/page__view__findpost__p__16459603.

Do the Nightkin not have Fender Swords, or something like that, I'm sure I heard that in one of the vids I've watched.

Yes. Some kind of edged weapon made from auto parts. I'm gonna call it the Pep-Boy until we get confirmation of the name. (get it? Pep boys? Autp parts? that's some funny [censored] right there.)

Yah, I saw them in one of the earlier videos, I think it was the Gameplay Trailer, looked like a makeshift sword, cobbled together with random parts with some viceous looking spikes on it. Probably gonna have a high strength requirement if we can use it anyway, the thing was huge. It was like a claymore for a supermutant
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-x-1fm2cq8 : 0:56, On closer examination it looks more like a big club than anything else.
And I just noticed the Nightkin have Stop sign bracers. Pretty G.

Well, if the R91 isn't in, it shouldn't be too hard to find a free-to-use H&K G3 model out there and port it in after some adapting of the model... May not be a perfect R91, but it's pretty close.

We haven't seen a plain-jane "Assault Rifle" yet, though, just an "Assault Carbine". We shall see...

I got that one counted, but keep 'em comin. I'm sure I've missed some.

Service Rifle (brown bakelite stocked M16 lookalike)

Also, I bet you a can ot tuna that even if the FO3 weapons aren't in NV that they include the weapons buried in the game files just so the modders can legally use them without having to start from scratch.

Also, I'd be welcome to the return of the FN FAL. One my favorite RL rifles.
