Seems like an elongated javelin, more or less?

I think spears should do really high damage when thrown, I mean outright kill most enemies at the obvious cost of losing your weapon and the chance of missing your target.

I think beth will most likely make spears two-handed melee only like Morrowind, but I've been wrong before.

Two-Handed melee makes the most sense. One-handed would work with a shield but I don't know how they could implement spears into the dual wield system.

I want werebears added but not as a focus of a dlc. Also if beth do introduce them they should make them different to werewolves through different strengths/weaknesses and abilities.

As for spears they are what I have been wanting most from dlc as well as the flail/whip weapon from game jam. Spears would fit easily into both the one handed and two handed weapon categories but they would have to rename the archery tree or introduce a new one for throwable weapons which could also introduce other weapons such as throwing knives, axes and shurikens.

I'm all for anything that will introduce more variety to combat and gameplay and I think both werebears and spears would be a worthy investment of beths time. I just don't want a dlc that focuses on either of these things.

I'm sure the next DLC will have more then just werebears and spears. (if there added)

I think it would be cool if bethesda could redesign it in the shape of a bear claw.
Yeah not just like http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs17/f/2007/207/e/8/Bear_Claw_1_by_purplesinger.jpg but just think

If they add a new tree, what perks do you think werebears will have?

Well I would like to be able to call at least 1 or so other werebears to help me like the werewolf but if they make the werebear super strong they we wouldn't need any "helpers"

As far as perks go, damage increases, stamina/health increases, and probably a few things similar to Savage Feeding and Gorging. I'd like to see one that allows them, when sprinting, to knock over enemies like Shield Charge does/did.

I'd say for roars or whatever their powers may be called, it'd be along the lines of direct combat influence. A berserk one, increase armor rating, health, and damage for a short period. Maybe one to paralyze enemies for a brief moment, stun them more or less. I think an ally calling one would be a little pointless, if not overpowered. Bears are typically solitary animals, the bigger ones anyways.

Yeah the a berserk perk would be awesome. Just imagine being a huge bear going crazy on a group of people just ripping them to bits.

Since the "why no werebears?" reached the post limit. I might as well post what I was going say here.
Oh yes. Werewolves are Hircine's apex predators. They aren't merely lupine gladiators. They have speed, strength and guile. Clearly he loves using them as his hounds when he hosts the Bloodmoon.
That's how imagine werewolves, being like wolves in real life able sneak up and ambush prey. Even if they fail the ambush they're able to chase prey for miles which makes them very successful predators(more successful than big cats). Werebears on the other hand would probably be more like Hircine's brutes for when he needs extra muscle during the hunt.

Indeed. This whole "Werewolves act like warriors" is nonsense. They're much more than warriors of the wild.

In the "why no werebears?" thread I posted that having a DLC based around the Dwemer, Thalmor, or dragons because the Dwemer should remain a mystery, Thalmor should be the main focus of the next game, and we don't need anymore dragon stuff they got old fast, and are just a nuisance now.

Nope, werewolves are warriors and there is nothing you can do about it.

I don't like dragons I have never started or finished the main quest on any of my characters and If I wanted to use a shout I just modded in the souls and call them spells I WILL HAVE MY ZOMBIE DRAGON.

ontopic:Honestly I do think bethesda will add werebears cause to me it looks like they are trying to get in as many of the gamejam ideas as possible and I think werebears are native werebeasts for skyrim I think.
