Anybody? ( sorry to be annoying but this is really bothering me )
Well, it's kind of a big deal and is all part of the major climix. It's a turning point at the end of the story, so I'd call it a pretty major spoiler.

So for those that have played, or are currently playing Dawnguard, how does it rank amongst the other Elder Scrolls DLC for Oblivion? Is it better than some? Worse? Better than all of them?

Dawnguard has been one of Bethesdas best TES DLC since shivering isles, I have only experienced a few minor bugs but nothing serious at all. The Beta testers did an excellent job if I do say. I just beat the vampire's main quest about and hour ago, ive been playing since it was released around 5 am im going to do the Dawnguard side in a day or too. Epic and fun dlc worth $20.

I'm playing the Dawnguard side, and I gotta say I love it. I love the fact I have a hired troll, a dog and a new follower who raises the dead we kill as other companions. :D

The only thing slightly annoying about the MQ is the constant cries of "Where did you come from?" And one tie-in into the Main Quest. And the fact that I had to restart my XBox three times during my playthrough...
Spoiler
I really wish I would have known you would need the Elder Scroll (dragon), because my character was already in Blackreach before I left to start DG.

Are the quests pretty good?
Yes. So far i'm very impressed with the DLC, I went the route of the Dawnguard so hopefully i'm not underwhelmed. I made a save right before the dlc so I can go back and give the vampire quests a try. All in all, this is definitely worth 20$, Bethesda you have out-done yourself with this.

Someone told me that you learn that you have to do it pretty early in the DLC, but it happens later on?
You're saying it's not, so now I'm confuzzeled :D

Is the crossbow useful or just annoying to use?

Really enjoying it so far, and i wasn't all that enthusiastic about it if i do say. Story seems solid, content seems all there to justify the price, weapons, features, places to explore, it's good fun :)

By the way, does this DLC add a new Bard who randomly wanders around Skyrim? Forgot his name but pretty sure in all my 150 hours i've never seen him before.

I think for higher level players it can be a little underwhelming, but I know that when you play through you get upgrades for them and there is a Dwarven Crossbow, I don't know much about it though

^Cool VIdar, and yeah I must admit I didn't like the Werewolf thrd person view either, though it does seem like the advantages of being a vamp lord are alot better than as ww, so do you transform back after a certain period of time like in ww mode?

No, you can switch back and forth freely

Tisglav or Tisglov the wonderer, I know the spelling is not right but he was in the base game, I see him all the time, one time in Riften he was in the bar and went berserk and tried to kill somebody and the entire bar jumped him it was quite amusing.

What is the second new landmass in the game that todd mentioned, apart from the soul cairn?

I would like to know this is well, I was just told it was called something Valley.

I would like to know the round about size of both the Soul Cairn and the valley, how do they compare to Point Lookout and Shivering Isles in terms of size.

I only just got started on my way to Fort Dawnguard (spent all morning making my way to level 10 - started over just for DG), but it's amazing so far. I absolutely LOVE the crossbow, and some of these new armors are just... :woot:

Played a few mins on my neighbor's xbox. The crossbow is clearly made for sneak attacks, and is quite satisfying to use (animations are a bit weird but the sounds are great). But it is also useful for warriors if they just want to land a single heavy shot at range before engaging in melee.
