Does anyone know if there will be any benefit to getting New Vegas on the same console I had Fallout 3 on? I own a 360 and a PS3, and I was leaning toward the PS3 for New Vegas because of a better GPU but If there will be any pluses for getting on my 360 (Like Carrying over weapons from 3 or maybe even Character Import) then I dont want to miss out on that.

Nope. Confirmed for quite a while that there will be no transferring stuff over of any sort.

PC, because my PC is a sixy beast (I just got me a GTX460). And, it's hooked up to my very sixy HDTV. Also, because I can pull off headshots like a pro with a mouse, but I can't hit a Behemoth's backside from 10 feet away with a controller.

RE: the PC vs console graphics questions, it isn't even just about the hardware--PC version has higher-res textures (or at least, the ability to run the textures at higher quality settings).

I've killed everything in the game free aim on my PS3 using a controller, I guess it's all what your used to.

But after a while I started using VATS, i was hooked, I love the slow motion affect so you can see the blood mist hang in the air for a few seconds after i pop a head with with my beloved Victory Rifle. And all this is just testament to how great this game is! You can play it on anything you want however it pleases you to do so and they make it so you can change anything you want whenever you please brilliant!!!

I say Oblivion and Fallout are the most entertaining game experiences I have ever seen, and I've been gaming since Pong.

PS3 mainly because that's what I own and I'm most certainly not going to fork out $500 NZ for an xbox whos games do not interest me (Except probably a few but they've jumped ship after half a year).

I would rather get it on PC but both PCs that I have aren't capable of running the game.

Lets be honest. It's still superior to LIVE.

The first obviously depends on your internet connection, steam doesn't actually intrude anywhere, it keeps entirely to itself, just requires you to go through it (As opposed to "services" like softwrap, which install themselves down at driver level to make sure things are legit), and for offline games you can absolutely play them without an internet connection. There's a great big button with "Offline mode" written on it, if you can't connect.

PC. It'a an FPS RPG, and like all FPS games, it plays best with a mouse and keyboard.

you shouldn't try to pass off your personal preference as fact.

some of the best FPS players i have ever seen play on a 360, but that doesnt make the controller inherently better. Just because you are better with a keyboard/mouse does not make that inherently better either.

PS3!

I can't find playing on the PC at all. Its boring without a controller and my PC is pretty crap and won't run New Vegas.

PC, because I've already pre-ordered it for it. And I like to play on PC more than on my Xbox.

No, he's just about right. I'd laugh seeing someone play something like UT or Quake on a controller.

The best FPS players you've are probably console gamers, and if you seen an ACTUAL "pro" pc gamer, you would realize it too. Also, earlier in the thread, someone posted on how they were going to connect 360 and PC together for Windows Live/ xBox Live but they canceled it because the PC gamers killed the console gamers each time.

Seems we can never get to 200 with these sorts of threads. They all turn into a flamefest over which platform/console folks play on. :sadvaultboy:
