Why is the creation Kit taking so long?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 9:56 pm

To be honest, I feel a little unenthusiastic about Skyrim mod since Bethesda's goal is to make Skyrim to look the same on all platforms and they decided to use an upgraded old engine instead of new one.
I don't quite care about the CK now.
I will just play the vanilla Skyrim and put it on the shelf, then look forward to TES 6.

I never intended this to be the major [censored] fest it turned into. Stop this stupid discussion immediately, my question was answered in the first three posts!

You went from a simple question to an argument about the creation engine, to ranting, to bethesda bashing, to a fundamental discussion about PC gaming. Heck, what comes next? Religion? It can be only a matter of time.
Bethesda can do what they want, release the CK now, later or never. They made a great game which surpasses every other game ever made in the genre, without any mods. You purchased the game, fully aware of a Creation Kit NOT being included. Bethesda does the modding community a favor by developing and releasing the CK after they spent FIVE YEARS making a great game, so STOP RANTING.

Well, they used it to make the game but what they used and what they give away may be two different things. I'm sure they don't want to have to deal with bug fixing both Vanilla Skyrim and the Creation Kit. I think it's worth waiting for.

Ya patches will definitely help but I still haven't seen any game breaking bugs yet which is surprising Ive played on both xbox and PC all the way to lvl 40 so im impressed with how well they have done with the game.

But with that said there probably finishing up the creation kit guide that will most likely come with it along with a few extra capability changes.

That..... Was [censored] awesome
and at the same time true in every way

Oh and the fact they even made a creation kit for there game is amazing... honestly what other game developer supports mods as much as Bethesda supports mods.

You know, it's people who can't use the CK who make the audience for modders.
Of course, because modding is all about attention-[censored] and we should be grateful we have an audience.

Not going to deny there are people who mod for attention, but they are thankfully the exception to the rule; most of us make things we want and share them because we're nice like that. And hey, if the CK doesn't come out until after xmas most of us can take the time to finish off our Fallout and Oblivion mods.

You got the point. Skyrim is quite well made without mods, and that's another reason why I decide to play it without waiting the CK.

By the way, I do bodybuilding indeed, thanks.

Oh dear. Well, I think the OP wants it closed.

My thanks to those of you who actually read the OP and stuck to a civil discussion.

Those of you who derailed the thread with your own agenda, kudos on getting another thread closed.
