Worst Full Price Game Purchase

FO3 was one...just wasn't worth 60 bucks when I got it for the 360 imo.

IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover - man, this game is unfinished, bugged, not optimized and such. Unplayable for now.
Oblivion - buying it as cheap re-edition would be fine, but I paid full price for premiere edition. I expected epic rpg, not disneylandish slasher.

Brutal Legend was definitely one of the worst games I ever purchased, it was a huge steaming pile of crap.

To this day I still don't understand why people don't like GTA IV, sure it may be different but I still had loads of fun and the freeroam multiplayer made for great times. But I guess that's just your opinion and I have to respect it.

It is different. That's why. It's like Rockstar decided to build a nice GTA world then just svck all the fun out of it and kill the mood so they could focus on story and going bowling.

Marvel vs Capcom 3. I bought it first day, limited edition. If I would've known the game was going to be half finished, I would have waited.

At least the Shuma-Gorath shirt was nice. :meh:

Fable 3. I bought it when it was first released so I could play co-op with my littlest sister. Playing and chatting with her was good (seeing as we don't live together it was a nice way to catch up), but the actual game was svcky.

Fallout: New Vegas,
it became boring very fast. I also didn't enjoy the desert(sandy, yellowness, bright) setting.

Surprised no one mentioned Halo ODST.

This was something I also didn't like. If I want to see that, I can go outside. Stupid desert.

Borderlands was okay. but was hugely disapointing to me. first of all, its not really an rpg just because you add arbitrary leveling up. second, the big selling point was that there will millions of different weapons, turned out they all looked the same with slight veriations of what damage and effects they had. also what is the point of having so many weapons when how the game works is that you are picking up a slightly better one every five minutes. they should have just had a weapon for every weapon skill, which got better and had a effect tree. OH, and Borderlands was literally a linear game, as in there aren't any notaciable forks in your path, the side quests are just fetch quests sending you back to where you have already been

thats my rant on borderlands.

I like leveling up. I didnt like it in this game for one reason. Sclaed enemies. I dont feel stronger or anything, hell as timeweant on I felt weaker, it was also recycled as hell. It makes oblivion look good in comparison to the recycled content. Guns were advertised as being different e. g a sniper rifle that shoots rockets and reloads like a revolver. I like stat games e. g mass effect 1 or DAO, but borderlands was just dull not to mention stats were so minor 1% difference or something.

To this day I still don't understand why people don't like GTA IV, sure it may be different but I still had loads of fun and the freeroam multiplayer made for great times. But I guess that's just your opinion and I have to respect it.

Anyway, I guess there's a lot of games like LA Noire (worth $40 at max), Mortal Kombat ($30), and Halo: Reach I just found boring except for those rare times when I get an itch for mindless shooting.

It tried to be serious, so it failed. It had roman "cousin beeeg amerikhan teetees", I dont wnat to go bowling with them. It didnt even have planes. It svcked.

Definately Halo Wars. Terrible terrible game.

I played the demo, seems fine to me. Allthough balence is [censored] up, scarabs jsut wreck vultures.

Brutal Legend was definitely one of the worst games I ever purchased, it was a huge steaming pile of crap.

I was looking at that ?It has an rts but how is it bad ? The world looks great.

... You realised it was set in a desert before you got it right ? It beats fallout 3s green foggy world 200 years after the war.

Red Faction 2. I loved the first one, played through it at least five times, and bought the sequel the day it came out. The entire mechanics of the game were completely changed and it bore no resemblance to the original in any way apart from the name. It's not a terrible game, just a huge disappointment compared to the first.

Same case for me. In the first game I especially loved playing the multiplier with my brothers. That game had some of the best bots...
It seems like Volition can not stick with just one style sadly.

Spore, and this was above full price as I bought the Galactic edition, it cost me around $80. It still stings. I didn't want the Galactic edition I was just being impatient.

I had a major case of denial when I bought Spore. Then a week later I came to the conclusion that it svcked.

The actual exploring and on foot stuff in the beginning of the game was great, it even had good comedy. However, once you get about 1/4 of the way through the game it turns into a craptastic RTS game.

I have seen the rts gameplay, dosent look great, but I could still play it like an action game I think.

Fable 3
Dragon Age 2
Dungeon Siege 3 (Shouldn't have been full price in the 1st place)
Fallout New Vegas (Awesome game but not worth full price due to the bug mess that Softworks set Obsidian up with)
Divinty 2 Ego Draconis (Worst Game ever)
Skate 2
Monster Hunter Freedom (Terrible game, controls are horrible)
Red Dead Redemption (Awesome game but I got tired of it halfway through)
Diddy Kong Racing DS (Terrible game I was better off with Mario Kart)
Phantasy Star DS (Wasted Money)

It is in Nevada, a desert, in the West Coast, where civilization, as corrupt and harsh it has, returned, what do you expect?

Lulz destruction?

On the other news

Mario Galaxy 2, Never gonna believe in reviews, or friends, ever

Most of the overrated games, I preffer the underrated ones (New Vegas, Dungeon Siege 3, Mafia 2, The Godfather, etc)

Well, not full price, but $20 was more than I ought to have paid for Oblivion, Shivering Isles, and the KotN DLC pack. <_<

Also, I'd have to put Darksiders: Hellbook Edition, because I haven't even played it yet, and it has dropped a lot in price since its release. *sigh*

I can't think of any games I have actually paid full release price for.

You'd think maybe the name would have told you all you needed to know. That it takes place around what used to be Las Vegas, which is in the Mojave Desert, which is...a desert.

EVE online... hated the battle system, it turned out to be a p2p game when I got it, and The politics and economy was a bit much for me to take in as a 13-year old. (now 16 and able to follow pretty well.)

I didn't say I didn't expect it. I did expect a bit more Vegas, though, as it's called New Vegas, not A Couple Of Streets In New Vegas. And I just don't like the desert. In real life or games. Doesn't mean I don't like the games that have the desert. It's just redundant. Look, dirt. And look there. More dirt.

While Oblivion wasn't even remotely close to being as good as I expected I still got enough hours of fun out of it to have made it worth the money I paid for it. Fallout 3 now, that was wasted money.

Generally I do my research quite well, so I almost never make a wrong purchase. Fallout 3 is the only one I can remember at the moment.

Borderlands. People said it was great. Calling it [censored] would be an understatement.

I agree 10000% - everytime that Claptrap character opened his mouth to rattle off more excruciatingly corny dialog, I wanted to throw my shoe at the monitor.

also I would add Arcania Gothic 4

I like leveling up too. its just that Borderlands just tossed in the stats all half assed just so they can sell it as an rpg.

EDIT: I still play it sometimes. it just did not live up to what they were selling it to be as well as my expectation.
