the nords in windhelm say that the dark elves are polluting the city with their "stink" and they dont want them their and they call them "grey-skins" or whatever and the dark elves have to live in slums. I'm pretty sure thats racism.

Not all the dark elves there is one that they accepted and that dark elve even says that the other dark elves need to put there pride away.

Here, because you don't understand, let me help you by giving -YOU- a reason that I feel all Stormcloak Jarl's are a bunch of Cowards/Racist jerks.

Let's start with the Jarl of Dawnstar, Skaald the Elder. When you first arrive into the town of Dawnstar, provided you are lucky and don't get attacked by a dragon, you approach the Jarl's longhouse only to find Skaald outside yelling at 2 retired Imperial Legionares who have lived in Dawnstar all of their lives prior to joining the Imperial Legion. Skaald threatens to execute them first chance he gets if and when he finds out that these two retirees are Imperial Spys. He never lost his spoilt brat attitude and quite frankly reminds me of alot of young kid gamers who have a bone to pick with everyone and needs to remind everyone of their Superiority.

The Jarl of Winterhold with the bratty child. Blames the elves and all mages no matter the race for the destruction of Winterhold 80+ years ago ((or 4 score)) Too greedy to spend his money on repairing the city he wants to spend it on you, the Dovakiin he's most likely insulted at least twice over when you first meet him, because he wants a long lost helmet yadda yadda yadda. His brat of a child likes to "play" "Kill the Elf" when the nord girl in the tavern in other words he likes to bully her despite her being a nord because his nere'do well of a father said all elves and mages are bad.

The former Jarl of Falkreath, Dagain or whatever his name is, is suspicious and distrustful of -EVERYONE- Even those who have been loyal to him from the begining to the end of his Jarl-hood. He makes you break into one's house and if he becomes Jarl again he gets rid of all the good staff namely the poor elf that has to run Falkreath because the young imperial side Jarl only likes Jarl for it's perks. He replaces his steward with his made the only person he trusts even though she can't do crap for stewardship.

Then there is Laila Law Giver, stormcloak side Jarl of Riften. Up until today I had alot of respect for her. I started a new character again and it initiated much dialouge I had previously missed considering other NPC's liked to over talk the conversation I'm trying to here to talk to me. She disowns her youngest son because he spoke his opinion of Ulfric only cares for Ulfric. Her other son, some jerk with a dagger is far too lazy and feels too self important to pick up his sword that had to be fixed by the blacksmith because the son somehow broke the sword by smashing it into a wall which he disguises his poor aim on the account of his sparring partner ducking..... But the conversation I heard today, which I took pictures of but havn't loaded them up yet, The Jarl was concerened about the dragon attacks and was planning out with her steward of what to do when they came. Fine right? Well that's what I thought too except the steward mentioned about readying the Jarl's carriage just in case and the Laila quickly said "Good if a dragon attacks a city it's better that the Jarl be spared"

After hearing that I have become convinced that all the Stormcloak Jarls are bloody cowards and don't care about their people and just need to b**h at everyone that's not them. Course it doesn't help that Ulfric has a weapon called Steel Axe of Cowardice or the fact his bodyguard and second in command was mysteriously not present for when Ulfric got captured otherwise he would of been at the block too which makes me question his loyalty, but it also doesn't help with tidbits of the conversation. And Ralof? I compared both of their dialouges both Hadvar's and Ralof's Ralof sounds way more unsure and timid and when you partner with him going into the keep is much slower than with Hadvar's.

Then if you kill Ulfric before you get to Sovangard Ulfric, in a style all practice, speaks to you in a Poem about how he was wrong about the war how Imperial and Stormcloak are all equal here and all are doomed to be here because of Alduin. He's more scared than his men and refuses to budge from his damn spot even if you wish to escort him ((he's near some kind of mountain hill which sits in front before you meet Tsun))

Now don't get me wrong, Maven Black-Briar is used to getting her way and gets both the Theives Guild and the Dark Brotherhood to do her bidding ((I'm assuming before you take leadership of both)) and get rid of people that even scoff at her and she comes off as super duper snottty, the fact is she never abandoned the city and she stood fast when the Thieves guild hit a rough patch and was very eager to help them out. Now she did put that elf steward of Laila's into position on account of Maven only wants her black briar mead to be sold and none of the honeybrew and such, but she won't abandoned her people on account of she wants them all. She can't have that if they all die.

Now sure, despite joining Imperial ((which is better for everyone)) I really wanted to kill that da** B*** that ordered your execution and I only got that option when I joined ralof which I did in an effort to reset the radiant story on account of the glitch because I really wanted to activate the 'Blood on the Ice' quest to get the damned Hjerm ((which Tova and the guards make it sound like Harem)) and I was appauled by the stormcloak side.

And if you join Stormcloak you essentially are making it so a poor grieving widow has to work for the man who murdered her husband because he couldn't be taken seriously before. Now I don't know about you, but I refuse to work for someone who comes into my house and kills someone I love even if it's a cat or dog and then demand I work for them. I would most likely kill the bastard. And if he didn't kill my animals but choose to smash my PC and Xbox 360 into Oblivion and make off with my collector's edition copies it would be just as bad. Ulfric is that criminal he is your PC Smasher, and you work for him.

I am not sure. I have actually quoted myself from the UESP forum. I had it in Spoilers over on their form and I'm unsure how to do it here. I simply copied what I wrote there and pasted it here. Not sure why it's blue.

Skyrim is for the Nords! HOO-AH!!

On topic, meh. They're a proud, insular warrior people with a longer history in Tamriel than any of the other human races. I think it's a given that they're going to be a bit racist.
As for the situation with the Dunmer in Windhelm, Nords have barely tolerated elves of all stripes ever since the Night of a Thousand Tears. Add to that a long history of warfare between the two peoples, there's no surprises there.

Isnt the 2nd in command in Whiterun a dark elf? And the Jarl is a Nord? Even the dragonborn couldnt buy a house until he contributed, and most dark elves dont want to help the Nords. Why should they be treated better than dragonborn?

No, actually you didn't. All you really said is "it's all about honor and glory". The Stormcloaks dislike any race except their own. They even sanctioned off apart of Ulfric's city for the Elves so the Nords can live with one another and not have to deal or mingle with other races. Well the Nazis thought they were very honorable in killing innocent civilians for the glory of Hitler and making the Arian race. This is a thought only shared by Hitler and his supporters. in this case, it would be the Stormcloaks. They believe Nords are the only race that should inhabit Skyrim. But using the little logic you've given us to go by, would you think the Nazis weren't racist?
