I think I like NV just a little more but it's probably a nostalgia thing. I apprteciate all the honorable mentions by most NPCs that have a back story. While NV appears to have many more scripting errors, I haven't had nearly as many CTDs as FO3 gave me. Not even close. Maybe 6 in 150+ hours. I really like all the interconnecting quests and side quests and there appears to be something for everyone, though some of the "somethings" get killed by scripting errors. A valiant effort but it really needs a lot more play testing, or more creative play testers. Am I the only person who ever
All things considered I'd have to give them a B+ for NV. FO3 gets an A simply for taking the plunge into the FO world and coming close enough (and sometimes surpassing) the originals. And I could never, ever critique either of these games honestly without bringing up one thing. The physics of Gamebryo / Havok (whatever) svckS. It SHATTERS THE ILLUSION and games like this are all about illusion. The grades I just gave the 2 games DO NOT in any way take the physics into consideration. I think both Beth and Obsidian did really great jobs with the crap engine. And now you have added Steam which makes it a Steaming pile of crap. As a matter of fact, the more I write, the more I want to drop those grade points.
