Argonians and Khajiit: Lizard

...They've been here the entire time. I don't see how they are "out of place." This isn't LOTR with a different name.

1. Black Marshes terrain.

2. Still, the CoC could take down every Oblivion gate in Cyrodill down solo. And he isn't immortal or anything. After doing that countless times in Oblivion I don;t see that as anything special.

1. if that was all the gates would not have been closed, argonians went into the oblivion gates and slaughtered the deadra

2. still, the CoC was a "chosen one" and had help from akatosh. but ignoring that, argonians still put up a better fight than the dunmer, that is part of the point i was trying to make

Morrowind is still a shattered land, and the places that aren't occupied by Argonian soldiers are covered with smoke from Vvardenfell blowing it's cap in a spectacular explosion that ravaged the Dunmer that hadn't been given a vision by Azura to leave.

Oddly enough, those that were given visions apparently didn't tell everybody else, because MANY Dunmer died.
Sorry bud you are likely wrong.

Several Dunmer in Skyrim mention Morrowind as a place they can go to still, they even say it in a way that appears to assume Morrowind is a habitable and easily accessible place.. Some Dunmer say they are planning on going BACK to Mournhold and others say they would go back to Morrowind but they have too many roots in Windhelm. Others mention that the place was devastated for awhile. Nothing in game mentions that Morrowind is or even recently was uninhabitable. The Dunmer have probably been going back there for over a hundred years. This is what is implied by the Dunmer's dialogue in Skyrim. Talk to some of the NPCs in Windhelm and specifically the Gnisis Corner Club. At least that is where I talked to them.

The Argonians likely pushed passed the southern areas of Morrowind and for a fact we know they reached the Telvanni areas. They then retreated to the southern areas if the dialogue of the Dunmer is anything to go by. Argonians simply do not have the governmental structure to occupy a territory. They attacked, exacted their revenge and left. Some small raids and such of course were likely to keep on going for a number of years but at this point I am fairly confident the Dunmer are recovering Morrowind at the time of the Civil war. However there is very little dialogue that talks about the Argonian invasion. It must not have been that big of a deal for the Dunmer. The Red Year was a much more noticeable event and THAT is why the Dunmer were fleeing Morrowind. The Air was not breathable or at least was detrimental to breathe and that was the reason they left. Not the Argonians. On the plus side it seems the Argonians did not attempt genocide on the Dunmer.

Also the Argonians victory in Black Marsh really is not all that impressive. There was nothing there that Dagon could have wanted. No mer made towers for example. He obviously wanted to destroy them because the Daedra attacked the crap out of Crystal-like-Law. The Argonians had Foreknowledge of the event through the Hist and they suicidally rushed in to the Oblivion gates. They could have suffered horrific losses as far as anyone knows. Without the Hist the Argonians would have been massacred much worse than any of the other races. The only reason they overwhelmed the Daedra is because they were prepared. It still is an impressive victory but Black marsh had nothing to weaken its nation prior to the event and they were prepared.

That was disgusting, I apologize.

I am an Orc, a Redguard, and a Bosmer as much as I am a Nord.

And I win EVERY time.

I'd love to see those stuck-up, grey-skinned, racist, demanding, cursed, hateful, pathetic, [censored]es try to fight the Argonian army. Especially after all their slaves have been ripped away. So, go ahead dark elves, make me laugh.

As for Azura, what a [censored]. Seriously, am I the only one that can't stand her. "Oh, these people love me immensely. I'm going to let half of them die, after I cursed them brutally ages ago. That's sure to make them love me more." The Dunmer must be mentally deficient (what am I saying, of course they are), because they keep worshiping her. A few people may not have the capability to tell all the Dunmer, but Azura surely could have told more, if not everybody. Hell, it wasn't even a few people, the way the priestess at her shrine said it. More like hundreds.
They could now be protected by Azura, they might not want to irritate that situation.
The Dunmer are all those things but certainly not pathetic.
They have completed great feats threw out history.
They could very well strike back, in time as the Argonians retreated into their marshes also it should be noted they are not great in all out open warfare.

I like Azura, then again I do not hate any Prince they do things because they wish look at the Orsimer and Malacath they have to walk a very very fine line with him
The Dunmer do not want to anger Azura she could curse them again if she desired.
She did not want to tell them because of some selfish reasoning even Azura and Meridia do things to meet their own desires. As is the nature of the Daedra.

Please. A Dunmer will nearly always beat an Argonian in a fight. It's a simple fact. Azura? Cursed them brutally? You mean gave them a resistance to fire, grey skin and red eyes? So they look different than Altmer. Who gives a damn? And do you think an entire race can flee an island before a volcano erupts? It's not as simple as you think.

you would make a great dunmer, lousy rascist

our point still stands, that your original point was ludacris and removing the greatest races (second only to kamal and tang mo) would make no sense what so ever. even our resident racist thinks it is a dumb idea, and he is racist!

Uh, that's not what I saw when my Argonian beat the crap out of an Dunmer merchant in hand-to-hand combat. Though, to be fair, Argonians get an unarmed bonus.

A man can dream, can't he?

I was mostly just talking [censored] because I don't like the Dunmer, and I don't understand why there are any left if they have such 'horrible' living conditions in Skyrim, what with the 'racism' and all that.

I'd think that after Vvardenfell erupted, it'd be inhospitable, but still habitable, for a long while. So, more likely than not, Morrowind isn't what it once was. Not by a far cry, and it's likely that the Argonians are still occupying many areas, to a certain extent. It's not as if they have anywhere else to place their soldiers.

So, I admit that I didn't think about the Dunmer dialogue in Windhelm, I still think that the Dunmer have a long way to come before they're anywhere near as strong as before.

Yes the first post was asinine.

They add to the series did you read my links?

They add so much to this universe I love the two beast races we get to play, but my favorite two races are the Altmer then the Dunmer, so now I am having a playful disagreement on the races.

Eh, it happens. Xenophobia and racism are innate parts of being Human (or Khajiit, or Argonian, or Dunmer, you get the idea). If we all treated each other equally, the world would be a very nice but boring place. And Sheogorath knows I prefer mean and varied to nice and boring.

No, it isn't a simple fact.

Especially if you consider the other various forms of Argonians residing in Black Marsh. It's the same with the Khajiit, who have 40-foot tall lions that are the TES equivalent of oliphants, that can level platoons with a single swipe. Taking any consideration of less common sub-species instantly throws the victory to the beast races.

While the common Argonian may be less proficient in certain abilities than a Dunmer, they are in no way weaker. The Argonians are fast, can regenerate their health, have claws and fangs, and can move through watery terrain much better.

Maybe they do not have the funds to move maybe...

It has been a while sense it erupted not really sure how long its been. Does anybody know?

I did not think about the Windhelm dialogue until it was mentioned above, I think some Argonians still inhabit the south but most went back into Black Marsh. It will take a while to regain their former power. They will have a hard road rebuilding a powerful nation without the Tribunal but it can and will be done.

I swear if this was an IRL battle, we would've nuked the world by now. I can just picture it:

"ARGONIANS FOREVER!" *machine-gun fire*

"DUNMER! DUNMER!" *RPG flies past someone's head*

"MAN [censored] ALL THAT [censored]! SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!" *explosions*

It's been 200 years. With a mountain the size of Vvardenfell/Red Mountain, I'd say that the volcanic ash and smoke, maybe even tremors, could potentially be problems.

All the elven races should be removed from the Elder Scrolls. Elves are so cliche in the fantasy genre.
