Assassins' Creed

I'll probably rent this game, I love the AC series but this one doesn't seem to be worth the full $60. Hopefully they'll start working on AC3 already though, I want to see how the story will end. I'm tired of cliffhangers.

Why do you think that?

I'm curious about that, too. The multiplayer and lack of time spent on this new game make me wonder. I hope that when I read that it would have "almost" as long of a campaign as AC II, he/she meant almost, as within two hours, but "almost" is open to interpretation.

It probably is, but to me right now, it isn't. I have other things that I need to be wasting money on.

I really liked AC1 and AC2. I prefer AC1 to the second actually. Altair was a better assassin IMO. I do wish to get brotherhood.

Is Ass Creed Bro getting the same awful DRM that AC2 had?

I'd buy Brotherhood just to walk around Rome. The cities in these games are very well shown.

So I'm getting Brotherhood in a couple hours. I loved Assassins Creed 1 to death, and Assassin's Creed 2 had my mouth watering until they tricked me into spending around twice as many xbox live points as I should have to get all the DLC. Wasn't gonna get Brotherhood until I found out it also continues Desmond's story...

So, has anyone played brotherhood? Is it as long as 2? Is it as fun?

For those wondering: I rented the game and I've been playing it for the past hour. It's great so far. You spend a good bit of time with Desmond (Yes, it does continue his story as well).

Actually, I think I've spent more time as Desmond than as Ezio so far. Probably just because it's the beginning.

Have you tried multiplayer yet? Honestly ACII's story kinda lost me so MP's really the only reason I'm interested in Brotherhood.

That's what sold the game to me, including the renovating Rome part. Bethesda could take some tips from Ubisoft on city building, in my opinion.

Multiplayer is fun so far. Can't go into detail right now. Maybe tomorrow.

How did the story lose you? I think it's great. If you just think the concept is ridiculous, well, there's nothing I can say to change your mind about that.

Buying it once I get out of school on the 3rd. Also, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood(the one that just came out.) is not Assassin's Creed 3

Played from 2 till 430 since I got it. It does indeed continue Desmond's story, and in one of the first scenes with Desmond it actually answered one of my biggest questions from 2. So far, I'd say I've spent more time as Desmond, but it feels like I just entered the meat of Ezio's story so I think I got quite a bit of animus coming my way. They added replay for seperate missions, so that's a big plus. Lucy also told me I could leave the animus whenever I please, but I don't know if it'll offer anything knew other than the times I expect you'll be pulled out by the story. Quite a few noticable combat additons, my favorite being it's faster. Feels more like you're an assassin and the people you're fighting WANT YOU DEAD, they're not going to take turns going at you. Animation is very fluent in combat, Ezio moves very smoothly between kills and it looks very realistic.

Wandering if it reads your assassins creed save to determine your loadout of weapons and armor at the beginning though. I started with Altair's armor, though I didn't get a good look at my weapons.

Spoiler
They strip you of them after a while though, so you can get that sense of progression I'm sure.

Haven't tried multiplayer yet, that can wait until I finish the story mode.

I'm really loving the new installment. Unlike Assassin's Creed II theres ENOUGH to do so I don't think i'll feel the need to do something extra and make an acclaimed achievement guide again. :P

Did they do some sort of engine overhaul? The lighting looks terrific. Also, the opening sequences in the villa had some of the most captivating and immersive facial gestures i've seen in a game. Bravo Ubisoft.

I do have a bone to pick with the game, and its a rather big issue that i've yet to see the full consequences of and that is full synchronization. I thought the ideology behind AC was that were always 10 ways to skin a cat? By adding a system that says "this is how you're supposed to do it" they're infact creating a linear path in which to play the game...so when I complete the mission and see "full synchronization failed" I restart the whole thing until I do it the Ubisoft way...

I don't get it.

Also, whats the sense of having wanted posters that are not on ground level?

I have been watching someone else play. Its very buggy, often freezes. (And annoying U-Play DRM connection). http://gamercrave.com/game-breaking-assassins-creed-brotherhood-glitch-reported/4662/

i love the game and have had NO issues at all
i have bought all the business so far
rebuilt a few things and my income is about 12000 every 20 minutes
and destroyed 7 out of 10 borgia towers [ i have to wait for the rest until later]
just beginning either seg 3? or maybe its 4
at this point i was just told to buy business etc, but i started that from the getgo
i just now am getting notoriety, so i did as much as i could before that happened
i own the crossbow etc because i am contantly earning money
still have not trained my own assassins

and to the person about the 100% syn.
understand you are RELIVING the memory
so to get it right it would and could be only one way

you do not have to do 100% to continue the game
at one point i was to only kill one person
i thought i did just that , the game says otherwise so i got 50%
no big deal as i can always retry later

I finally got my http://karioudo.deviantart.com/#/d333o71 in the mail today. Played about 2 and a half hours last night and I'm loving it so far. It's excellent though I notived I've been mispronouncing Cesare's name wrong all the time.
I always thought it was Cesare as in see-sa-re but apparently it's pronounced like chess-a-ree. That's going to take some time to get used to. XD;

What system was it glitchy on? I've played about 15 hours on xbox now, and haven't noticed a single glitch or slowing down of load times or anything. It's been running perfectly, even with my longest continuous session being 7 hours.

It's okay. We get 90% of the special video game deals, anyway. And hey; there's always Ebay.

Are you sure? My friend from California got the Doctor Edition with the freaky doctor shaped jack-in-the-box instead of the Codex... unless that IS the normal collector's edition.

I got the harlequin jack-in-the-box.

Looks like Ubisoft pulled that crap where certain stores have certain editions. :(
