By awarding this game - you're all buying into the "It's ok to release these games like they are. It's ok that I am paying money for a product that is defective".

Do you think Car and Driver would top award a car that had consistent problems requiring many recalls to function? ( a patch is essentially a "recall").

Of course it wouldn't.

Unbelievable.

You people are so amazingly ignorant.

You whine and whine about "Wahhh they svck at bug testing" The game is so massively complex and there are so many variables to take into account. Are the developers supposed to walk every inch of the mojave thousands of times to account for every single slight variable? You are just absolutely ridiculous.

Maybe they didn't play the game just saw those fake videos of the strip from summer.

Where did Summer post fake videos of the strip?

If you're talking about the single screenshot of the Strip opened up, it wasn't Summer who posted it.

They deserve Every Ounce of congratulations and awards for this game - I'm quite gratified that they have been nominated 3 times.

Its a truly great video game all things considered, and I'm grateful to be modding and writing for it now.

They got it exactly right.

Actually - I think the most ridiculous and ignorant thing is people who make comments without knowing the whole story, and who batch everyone into categories.

I have noted on multiple occasions that "bugs" and "glitches" are to be expected and excused.

Most notably on PC versions, since there are such variations in hardware/drivers etc.

Complete UNPLAYABILITY however (as MANY of us are experiencing, under the same conditions, in the same places) - is INEXCUSABLE, ESPECIALLY on a console version since consoles do NOT have the variation that PCs do.

And I'll bet my last replay of "Johnny Guitar" - if YOU couldn't play the game after laying down 60-100 bucks - you'd be "whining" also.

I think he means from last summer, not the Summer.

It is understandable for people to complain if they can't play the game. It isn't ridiculous. As long as the forum rules are followed, they can post their complaints.

I think he means from last summer, not the Summer.

Would have helped to say that. Not everyone followed every bit of information, not even the mods.

The actuality is that many of the problem glitches could have been identified with just one playthrough, sticking to simply doing the quests. I've been involved in beta testing, it's not hard...fixing might be, but not the problem identification side of it.

But many of the points are well made here, that there is a 'creeping syndrome' in the industry that as DLC provides for the patching of games, increasing numbers of games are coming onto the market in a less than sterling condition, and (for whatever reason) the games industry media simply isn't supporting the consumer/player by taking the industry to task over it. Without us, there is no industry...and we are being severely let down.

However, as I said earlier, good luck in relation to the awards...would be nice to know what the judging criteria is (or whether it's simply a popularity contest)...

The game is great, better than vanilla F3, less bugs and issues than Fallout 1-2 or Oblivion had

They proved once again that they deserve the title "the Obsidian that was Black Isle made of"

For some reason, Fallout New Vegas had LESS bugs for me than a fully patched Fallout 3 GOTY!

Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver

Lol!

I would hardly call that virtual rock paper scissors. It does not even come CLOSE to a true RPG.

I think there was some good voice acting in Bioshock 2. But I have only just started playing it and having tons of issues of losing saved games because of stupid GFWL being the steaming pile of cow dung that Microsoft loves to make.

Mass Effect 2

Why do you consider ME2 a better PC game?

Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver

I don't really see how Pokemon Heart Gold is an RPG.
It looks like a more updated version of Pokemon Yellow but still, can you roleplay in it?

Anyone else.

Why?

*snip*

I assume you're talking about bugs. Sorry you're having so much trouble. I know others are too. Understand, though, that not everybody is having that much trouble. Outside of some quest and companion bugs New Vegas is probably the game I've enjoyed playing the most this year. The game was pushed out the door by Bethesda before the bugs were all fixed...no doubt about that. You do know that would have been Bethesda's call, right? They were the publisher and oversaw QA as well.

I got a question, who cares if it wins an award or not? Do you only like a movie if it wins an Oscar? If you like the game, in the end that is all that should matter. By the way, the bugs in Oblivion and Fallout 3 were just as bad as New Vegas. it will get patched...give it time
