Im tired of the whole team waiting at the UAV, i was playing when I noticed me and one other guy were actully down the hill trying to arm the bombs, when i respawn 8 or so people were standing next to the UAV machine >:l

Blow it up!!! If no bodies on it, u can blow up the computer even if it's friendly

I've thankfully never seen people line up for the UAV, though I have seen plenty of people surround the helipad.

Its annoying, there is always someone who just stands there and dosent let others try it.

But I have another minor annoyance, I try to be stealthy but damn the spotting makes it hard, fun though.
I have only played recon so far, just see how versatile I can make it, but damn everyone on my team was one...Is this bad.
And personally I dont think this game should have a kdr, because of that people are rluctant to try and do things that could kill them.

Every FPS needs a KDR,because without it people can't say "I HAVE A 2.4 KDR SO I'M BETTER AT LIFE THEN YOU!".

Half the time my KDR is 1.3 or worse, but I'll top the scoreboard thanks to destroying/defending, repairing, or healing/reviving. So really, KDR doesn't matter, and if people think it's important then it's their own loss for playing conservatively (especially because they'll literally lose).

But its annoying when you have people who wont do anything other than use a UAV because they dont want to die, it is hard to work as a team when someone is reluctant to take any risk.

At least for the scoreboard all it shows is points, and not kills or deaths. I never got why people play for stats in games anyways, they don't mean anything and it just makes it no fun.

Yeah, I have a crap KDR and sometimes a score as low as 700, other times as high as 2000 but I dont care because its fun, playing for stats would svck and is just a waste of time as you wont play it in several years.

Can your friends and such view your KDR and such like? I just know I'll get drawn into a gritty KDR contest with one of my friends and I won't be able to help myself.

They should just abolish KDR on everything, it's so [censored] annoying, even though mine usually ends up fairly good, it still takes the fun out of the game.

Yes they can on the leaderboards, I never played any Battlefield game for KDR/Scoring its way too fun to even notice my scoring most of the times ^_^

Its true, howeverI use those tactics some times (only mountain sniping) however I actually get rid of the snipers on the building and infantry and try to clear a path to the objective, then usually use the tracer and C4 for enemies that have tanks. It seems bad gong as a sniper almost all the time but I svck with the assault and engineer guns, medic is ok, but lacks the ability to tackle tanks and other veichles.
As for everyone being sniper yep it can be annoying, I swap if I need too, but one time everyone was a sniper on my team...We didnt win, also had people doing the same with tanks, and fighting over the UAV and not doing anything because of damn KDR.

Anyway how do I se the UAV I tried to use the machine gun but can only use missiles.

Its the RB button. It should shoot a machine gun.

Why should they abolish KDR? It doesn't make you do anything, and it doesn't reward you in any way for having a good KDR over a bad one. And how does it take the fun out of the game? You don't have to play for stats, it's your own choice. I just play for fun and if I get good stats fine if I don't I don't care.

You can view friends KDR on the PC version, not sure about other versions of the game.

The problem is that most people coming off of CoD (and others) will focus only on improving their KDR because that is what CoD has taught them to do. Battlefield requires a lot more teamwork than Modern Warfare did, and a lot of people totally ignore that in order to focus on raising their KDR. I'm sure once the game comes out and people realize that you need teamwork in order to be good, things will get better.

Ok anyone having trouble with the demo, I cant connect to EA online apparently...yeah this is a good sign. Im on the xbox 360.

The PC beta ended today.. now we have to wait 4 days, 10 hours, and 55 minutes until release.

Oh, no, the console demo's are are still up and running and will probably be available to play even past the release date. They're just doing maintenance on the main servers. It's only the PC beta that was closed today, so us computer folk have to wait for release to play again.

Also, they released a short video http://kotaku.com/5479318/bad-company-2s-pre+owned-sales+stifling-dlc-revealed (you'll get them for free if you buy the game new, otherwise you have to pay for them). Both seem pretty awesome.

Any idea how this will work with Steam? I'm assuming they will just patch it into all of the games since there is no way to buy a used game on Steam, so they can assume every game bought is "new".

Also they need to allow preloading...

I had the awesomest day ever yesterday. On every one of my games, I ended with atleast a 3 to one kill death ratio, and it was amazing! Along the things I did:
Shot down a blackhawk that was flying very high and like a lunitic with an rpg
Shot down apachy helicopter with tank (wasn't standing still or anything like that.
Shot down a moving UAV with rpg
Hit and killed someone with an rpg when they were parachuting down at the spawn (Yes, you can kill them, just very difficult)
Got 5 kills with 1 rpg
Collapsed the building on the entire enemy team

And more. I gotta say, it was damn awesome!!!

Should I buy this game when it releases or just wait till my birthday in April for it? Or use the money to buy the first ME and LOTR: BME2?
Probably a retarded question but still.
