It svcks that some have the physical copy and are bound to Steam's time scheme. It svcks bad. But some of yall need to get off the soapbox with your grand declarations and frustrations. Life will continue and those whom are justifiably miffed, should direct their energy to Steam/Value customer feedback.

Seriously, 360 copy worth it over the PC version? Hell [censored] No. Mods > 3 hours early access.

Only thing I feel a little ticked about is that nowhere on the box does it say you have to wait for a specific time to play it. It says you have to agree to install steam, which i really dont care one way or another, but waiting until 3am my time? Doesn't say anything like that. Just brings back the epic fail moment that is buying fallout 3 and getting it home and securom telling me it cant install because I have Daemon tools installed or somesuch nonsense, but really is just having an issue because I have no IDE components in my comp. Steam is just another form of DRM, which just screws the paying customers because pirates will have it in a few days anyways.

Bleh and this is one of the reasons I feel Steam is an overrated piece of trash. You still pay full retail price with no physical media, can't play a brick and mortar store RETAIL copy of a game until Steam lets you. Its sad when the pirates have an easier time than paying customers. :flamethrower: Gabe

:D Neither can i since i wont be picking up my copy til 10am or so since theres no midnight launch in my area. People who have it should be glad its in front of em and they can start playing at...3 AM IN THE MORNING! and all of tomorrow. So the most important part of the journey of purchasing it is already done. Now relax with some calming perspective and pretend christmas is just an hour away

Why didn't anyone warn us this was going to be a steam game ? You want to know why because alot of people would have passed on the game . And realy having a game in hand and not being able to play it should piss anyone off if it doesn't the companys already have won and you are all mindless sheep waiting to be feed anything your owners you in your troff........

It's been known on this forum for a very long time. Everyone who did their research about the game knew about it.

It could be worse you know, like having to download extra 6GBs of data or better yet, the servers being brought to a stand still due to high bandwidth consumption...like this will ever happen

My collectors edition is on my shelf, I read the little comic.

Over all I am VERY pleased with the box, the comic art and the package as a whole.

The lucky coin is pimp, the poker chips are KILLER but still sealed and my cards are still sealed.

what this comes down to is our rights being tampled one little bit by one little bit. it happens so gradually that everyone (who is sane at the moment, unlike me) says "no big deal, the sky isnt falling"... your only partially right, its just falling piece by [censored] piece.

if you guys have noticed gaming today is much different than gaming 10-20 years ago. DLC on the date of launch, DRM etc... all of this BS is trampling our rights.

and if we keep just saying no big deal its only 3 hours, in another 5 years we will be saying, no big deal, just as long as i paid 60$ and got half the game, i'll pay another 60$ to get the 2nd half unlocked. every year i see something new, developers but mostly publishers see how for they can push this [censored], and we need to start voting with our wallets and comments that we wont put up with back room bullsh1t like this.

it sits right next to me and somewhere someone making bad decisions is not allowing me to play something i paid for.

sure its no big deal and probably most of the opiated masses wont care in 2 more hours, but just remember this in 5-10 years when were getting screwed over on digital rights...

Well I've now had the game in my hands and unable to play for months, handed my money to steam and had it in my games list unable to install for far longer than anyone going to a midnight release.

Well... I thought if I added my "prepurchase" code that it might work but nope... Guess ill go play some LoL until 3am then. Or maybe defense grid and let steam pre-load so i dont have to bother installing it

Did you not read any of the info that Bethesda/Obsidiaion has released? Or look at the series of threads about the long known Steam activation? It's been known for months and months.

Honestly folks - and this is directed at no one specific - a little perspective ok? It's a game. Yes its frustrating that you have to wait a few hours, but you are waiting a few hours to play a fun game. Not stuck waiting a few hours for a heart to be delivered via helicopter to so you can live. Perspective is a good thing.

Im sick of Steam, I took my laptop on a roadtrip and wanted to play some of my games and the client crashed.
I bought six games from them and after I beat them I wont buy any more.
Shame on you Bethesda/Osidian.
I bet its all because the games so buggy and not play tested Steam agreed to do free updates for the free publicity.
....problem is if Bethesda/Obsidian is so cheap to pay beta testers $12 an hour why would they realease any fix patches?
Answer, they wont. It cost even more money to pay programmers to make the fix patch, and how many did they make a couple months after the F03 expansion releases?...none!

The defense of it just being a game or hey, it's just a few hours are weak. We paid money for a product. Period. If you paid for dinner at a restaurant, they took your order, came back and said to come back in 3 hours, I'm sure you'd be totally fine with that, yes?

I agree that tempers are flaring, mine included. More so than they probably should. But to dismiss our claims just because "It's a game" is petty.
