I loved walking out of the store with my Collector's Edition gripped tightly in my sweaty, anticipatory fists!

:tes:
scariest moment of my life, walking home with my collector's edition durring the rush hour, i even had nightmares the day before that i'd forget it on the subway :ahhh:

how can they see how long i've had Skyrim? cant remember to have added my gamertag... :ermm:

Only way I can think of is if you agreed, when first booting up the game, to hand information over to the publisher or developer relating to your gameplay in the same fashion that EA has done with a handful of its game.

I didn't purchase a Collectors Edition, but that is because I was in my final semester of my undergraduate studies and lacked that kind of money. I will say that the worst part about my release night was when I was walking back to campus. There is a train that comes roughly once every two weeks through the campus and it is always on a different day. Wouldn't you know it, the train came on November 11th at like 12:30 and it had to of been one of the longest trains I have ever seen. If I had the ability to slow time, I would of so that I could have jumped in between the cars. It was torture having the game in hand and having to wait on that train.

Hang on…

Beth said they'll be sending the details early this week, not choosing applicants... is it possible they already picked? o.o

I would expect codes to go out Tuesday as that is when they update the Xbox marketplace, giving us a code before dawngaurd is even on it would be pointless unless it is already on. Be nice to know if we got picked before then though.
Also hope it doen't go on posts because I lurked for ages before I made my account and even now I rarely post.

Probably. You would have thought that they would have turned off the application process though if they had already done that.

As I said before, they're frickin' unpredictable.

Most likely it will be a separate Forum for Beta testers. A sub-Forum that only those chosen can access.

we just play the game and look for anything wrong and then we post on a special locked forum section just for the beta testers.

even if bethesda sent out the codes earlier... we would have to wait for MS to update the marketplace. That only happens on tuesdays.

It's likely already on the marketplace by now, just hidden until official release which is why we need beta code.

I think you just have to pay attention to all the little details and stuff and try to find as many bugs as you can, then report it to them. That's what I'm going to do if I get chosen, even if I'm supposed to do it another way or if they monitor gameplay. I will religiously send an email every time I find a bug or glitch, until they are all gone.

If thats true... (checks email again)

"well be sending info to applicants early this week."

that means two things, either theyve already picked or theyve already picked and have picked alot of people as they said applicants not winners or testers. Could there be EVERYBODY in the beta! :o

Pretty sure it's international, otherwise they wouldn't have asked us what country we live in on the beta sign up page. I could be wrong though.

Did they? I don't remember them asking this...

I actually witnessed a guy getting hit with the hardcover strategy guide, then having his CE stolen from him. :/

I was scared when I walked out the foor with mine at midnight.

I was wearing a skyrim t-shirt I had made myself, and as I walked out I held the game up triumphantly.

This guy looked at my t-shirt and my game and had a visible nerdgasm, his face screwed up and everything. He started walking towards me and begged me to tell him who sold me the t-shirt :)

The strat guide is easily big enough to be a weapon... it's like secrets from War & Peace...
