If I win the beta, the first thing I'm going to do is print out the email and frame it. Imagine that in your office.

You and me both buddy.

I still have the gameinformer mag with skyrim on the cover sitting on my desk.

Well guys, as nothing is happening this morning I will check back this afternoon.

Gonna go rage at Dark souls for a few hours ;) I am saving my skyrim character for dawnguard.

Hahaha it happens. I'm hoping Bethesda makes a beta for their next dlc. I'll probably never win, but I'd love to have the chance to be a beta tester.
They confirmed if things go okay in this one, they would do a beta for every other DLC.

0.o I was kidding! referencing the "seems legit" meme

dear god don't tell them your info!

... why didn't you tell me this before I faxed the deed to my house...?

... and sent my car keys in the post...

... along with the deposit of £10,000...

You lied to me!

I don't think they have told us yet. I would expect it was US only though due to legal issues with international betas.

Pretty sure it's international, otherwise they wouldn't have asked us what country we live in on the beta sign up page. I could be wrong though.

What legal issues could there be? I can't think of anything other than a little bit of extra paperwork.

I would think there would be a disclaimer stating it's only valid in the US before signing the form. I didn't see anything like that when I signed up. It would seem really deceptive to leave out that kind of info, if that were the case. I wouldn't worry about it.

I've signed up for the beta but I almost regret it because it means that I could get a buggy DLC which I have to report bugs on rather than enjoying a seamlessly crafted DLC. Plus I have loads of things to do this month :( but I'll still be pleasantly suprised I I get the beta

90% is a bit harsh. I myself recently joined but am one of those , who is experienced at finding and reporting bugs. Do with every game I play . Though most of the companies just say we will look into it . For example on Fallout New Vegas if you use the archemides II the animation can get stuck(still hasn't been fixed) . so rather then 90% I'd say 65% . Plus my friend who sighned up for the beta does that for a living lol.

I would say I am both on the issue, something free for helping a gaming company win-win. By the way, even if I do not get selected I will still get the DLC when it comes out.

Did we ever get confirmation that we are actually getting the DLC for free once it comes out June 26th if we test the beta? I remember when they first announced that we could sign up, some had proposed that maybe the only thing we are actually getting for free is the initial beta. Somehow, I'm doubting that is the case because there are probably a handful of potential buyers that would leave the market once they had the ability to play the entirity of Dawnguard for free. Still, did we receive official confirmation on this?

If you're chosen for beta, you'll get a code in the e-mail that you have to use to access the DLC. It's the same as buying it. You're getting it for free.

He confirmed it in one of the e3 videos.

Heck, I bet half of them you won't even see telling Beth about the bugs/glitches they encountered.
When I was playing the Hybrid beta I was pretty active on their forums reporting bugs/glitches. So If I do get accepted I will do the same thing here

I understand that we are getting the code to access to the DLC for the beta for free. However, the codes that we are using are little more than access to licenses via Microsoft to access the content. I've contacted Microsoft in the past about DLC that didn't work as was advertised and received a refund after complaining enough times. After I got my refund, they just deactivated my license and I could no longer access to the content on the marketplace. Do we know for certain that we are going to be able to access the DLC, after June 26th, for free, permanently, if we participate in the beta?

EDIT: Thanks Chronicler, I'm going to take your word for it rather than track down the video.

I wonder if people will be selling codes...?

EDIT: Not to buy them myself, I'm just curious to see how Beth will combat this.

The closer we get to this Beta, the more people are pretty much just hammering the "Panic Button"...

It's kind of sad.

Can someone confirm if this beta is US-only or not? I'd be pretty shocked if this is true.

Same here. When I signed up that was before I was a member here. Little after that I created an account here. Then yesterday I found out I had to re-submit it. Because I wasn't a member when I signed up here.

On the whole, fake account nonsense.
I help run a site with over seventy seven thousand members, we've a strict no Alt - other account - policy.
If someone's boosting their chances by creating nonsense accounts, simple solution.
Have a gander at the IP, if it matches up with someone else, fake account.
At which point, unleash the ban hammer of ye auld hammering! :brokencomputer:
