It makes the most sense. Signing up for the beta was supposed to last about a week, which I think yesterday was the seventh day. Plus they couldn't release it until the latest patch was released which came out Friday. So here's to hoping that the codes are released tomorrow.

If everyone signed up with one dark elf character and you signed up with an argonian, there's a pretty high chance that you'll be picked. Then various Xbox specifications'll come into play. They'll want a balance to see if Dawnguard works with all systems, presumably.

Fingers crossed that nobody plays Imperial or Altmer. >.>
