Dawnguard Beta - Thread #10

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 3:53 pm

I've never posted on the fourms before, (didn't even know about them) but I would post bugs. I want to get rid of any of the possible dlc bugs so other people don't have to deal with them.

Basically this.

Yeah I didn't know about the free DLC either. I just thought it would be cool to do a beta (never done one before)

I didn't know it was going to be free. I assumed it was like Battlefield 3's beta. You still had to buy it.

I'd prefer if it wasn't based on seniority, but if it was, then I can cope with that fact.

There's no way people signed up to this beta to make this game better for every one or because they enjoy looking for bugs. Thats a load of crap, testing isn't fun it gets tedious and repetitive, playing games is fun, that's why we signed up we all want the game, don't act as if you have some noble cause. If you get into the beta play the game and get the job done, do what is required of you

This is probably right for the most part.
Though you can play and report bugs, it's a win-win.

It'd just be nice to find some bugs during a time where they CAN be fixed. Instead of playing through the game and seeing something and wondering if Bethesda will ever decide to fix it.

I won't lie, I knew of it being free before signing up and since it is free full DLC, I'll get off my lazy butt and report my bugs, since they gave it to me free. I was planning on just waiting till it got released fully and buying it day one, but if I get the chance of getting it free and just report problems, I'll do it. I got a lot of free time on my hands to find and report problems anyways.

Chill guys, you or I have no control over who gets picked. When we get picked, or how we get picked. Just wait, don't compare each other. Because we have no control over any of this.

There are a good number of people (such as myself, to a lesser extent) who take pleasure in discovering bugs, glitches, and other things the creators just overlooked. Like I found a way into Mercer Frey's house to obtain Chillrend without being in the Thieves Guild, doing nothing more than exploiting the layout of the manor and Temple of Mara. I wouldn't be surprised if someone found it first, but I feel good for finding it completely on my own (not how you're supposed to either)

Yes this. People will find out the hard way the beta isn't as good as they thought when they get gamebreaking glitches.

And thats why I made backup saves, incase of this happening

making an extra copy of my save to copy incase something goes wrong does wonders :bunny:

I doubt it is. People who have played TES since early games like MW (such as myself) but didn't know about the forums until more recently. It would be unfair cutting those out. It should be more based on when you joined, as in before the beta is announced. Doubt it'll be like this and I can see people who get in and haven't made a single post make loads of spoiler threads as they don't care if they get banned.

I heard posting spoilers is a potential lawsuit.
