Dawnguard Beta - Thread #10

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 2:39 pm

I heard posting spoilers is a potential lawsuit.
I know but it might be hard for Bethesda to find out exactly who the perpetrators are, especially if they are in a country they find hard to give punishments in.

I seriously hope Bethesda has some way to do something about people who post spoilers from the beta. If people can't follow simple rules they shouldn't be even in it.

Hopefully these fears of people trying to get in the beta just for free DLC or early access do not come true.

Well, I guess the best thing to do would be too avoid:
" Dawnguard spoiler googles plz "

I hate it when people say things like that to curry favour. Basically begging to get picked. I've only played TES since Morrowind and I'm proud of it.

I won't be looking for spoilers, I'll wait for when it's released. It's just if people don't follow what they agreed to they should be held accountable for their actions.

I wonder if a lawsuit over Dawnguard could make the news? Interesting...

I actually played daggerfall whilst waiting for OB after it was announced. After playing Morrowind it was much harder to get into with the graphics and gameplay so I didn't get far in it. It would have been nice to start from Arena, but going backwards and playing the previous games is much harder than playing the newer ones.

No, people assumed when they said "early this week" that it meant Sunday. Which really, it could mean Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.

Where is everyone getting Sunday from? Gstaff said nothing about Sunday.

I started with Morrowind on the Xbox, but I didn't really like it and stopped (Trying to play it again on Steam). So I really started with Oblivion, which I deeply love.

I like OB. In some ways I prefer it to Morrowind. But, now I think we should stay on topic before we hijack this thread.

Man, beta discussion was booming earlier. Now? It's slooowing down. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing I suppose.

I had seen Morrowind but didnt really know anything about it, but then I played Oblivion at my friend's house and I fell in love. I got Skyrim at midnight and played it all day the next day. So yeah, I started with Oblivion as well.

I really hope they take into heavy account time spent playing the game, because I for one have logged over a thousand hours and would gladly log two thousand more on it. I'd love to be part of quality testing too because with my amount of free time, I have a great chance of catching bugs, from multiple playthroughs.

Man arena was pretty cool for that time. You should also read the books. A lot of lore, also a story about how molag ball was created. Pretty funny :vaultboy:

Is there any way I could play the previous ones (arena, daggerfall, morrowind) online without paying for them? I'm a little short on money

Yes but it's illegal and will probably give you a lot of viruses so I don't recommend it, and I won't talk about it

i hope its not like blizzard, where for betas its random and not based off seniority
this one i hope is opposite
Well according to the join date i'm more of a "senior" than you. Would that make me a better beta candidate? No it wouldn't. It wouldn't be fair. I really don't like to post a lot on forums and that's why i only have this number of posts, but the amount of people whining about forum posts really annoys me. Just because you post a lot doesn't make you a better beta tester. Man i used to work in a website and reviewing games and betas, and still does that make me a better beta tester? No. You could be a LOT better than i am. Number of posts do not make you a good tester. Get a grip you 10.000 posts people. You do not deserve a code more than others.
