Yeah it's not made clear but you need to turn on debug mode also for it to work. I'll sort that out now.

Oh well, with the debug mode one it works nice. Anyway maybe you want fix it for other users ;)Thanks for your work man, and thanks to all peoples who helped doing this patch, i really appreciate it. Well, maybe will be fine if i could enable/disable flying and god mode during the game but maybe that's not possible.

The debug menu invoked via F1 can be used to turn fly mode on/off during the game.

I have to say a huge thanks for this patch.Beat the game first before I used it (I think one should cheat only after beating the game), but good god it's great.

Wow... I've been out of the DCotE circuit for a couple of weeks and when I finally do get back to these forums, I find myself rewarded with seeing you guys building your very own unofficial DIY patch for the game. "Bravo!" I must say; but I do have a few questions for you regarding the patch. So here goes:- Is there a complete documented list of patched features?- What other features do you intend to implement/fix/enhance for the game?- I see that the patch requires additional software to work (.net 1.1) - does that come with Windows or is it a separate download? ...if it is a separate download, where can it be found?- How much more work will you guys be pouring into this effort?- Will it ever reach a final version or are you going to work on it for eternity just to keep the game alive?- Does the patch fix well documented bugs that appear in the game, eg, the problem people have trying to get into the traveling bucket in the refinery map?- Can you install the patch and play the game and not be considered to be cheating with selective patched features enabled?- A lot of people like to simply click on an install.exe to run such patches. So, is the patch installation a simple process? - Does the patch come with a readme.txt for its installation if it is more complex than that? There. That's a nice quick set of questions off the top of my head. I'll probably be a real menace later and ask some more...Thanks for all of your time and effort into building this patch. I am sure it will be appreciated by those people who want to improve their enjoyment of Dak Corners of the Earth. I haven't downloaded the patch just yet as I just want to know the answers to some of those questions above before I do so.-Windebieste.

Woot! I got a patch for removing the silly filmgrain letterbox mode working. It really changes the look of the game - fullscreen view through cutscenes and no more scratchy old film look. Works on every level so far. For me, this changes the game like the missing Arm Reach did for some folks - it adds to the immersion in my opinion.A minor glitch that i'm ironing out is that it gives the player some control during cutscenes when they shouldn't have any. I had to dust off an assembly book or two. With some cool tools I found, I can debug the game pretty well now.

Can you help patch up the Jailbreak alleyway? There's a bit there where the screen goes entirely blank, and flashes random colours for me.

Here's a zip file for the No Film patch. It contains three files. Each file has a unique name in the form: gamename.patchname.partXofZ.hexoffset.binApply each part at the appropriate offset to CoCWinMain32.exehttp://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=100375 MD5: e19a8106c727a51e97bd4942e098c4fd

Is it just me or do the grain and letterbox still appear during healing sequences with everyone else?

I don't think there are any nice ones which is the reason i decided to self host. No ads just a download. Another reason why I want to keep the download small:)

Lol - I was using god mode to run through as many cutscenes as possible and never checked the healing sequence - which I now believe to be a non-scripted event.

Yeah, those last two versions work really great.http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/2692/crap1dv.jpgI'd like to see this version of the file that is 10 times smaller than it should be but runs.

Ah I think there may be a bug in the .net 2 version that I thought I'd fixed:)You shouldn't see that with the 1.1 version though...I'll look after work.
