I just can't stomach the idea of guns in TES, when I first started playing Morrowind so very long ago... I marveled at being able to get lost in another world, a land that was as magical and meaningful and forgotten as anything I'd seen in a game, as time passed, eventually oblivion came out... and once again I was lost in a mid-evil kinda time, knights in armor, and assassins wielding bows and poison. Time inevitably keeps passing but, the thing I looked forward to as I delved into more Bethesda games... ie: Fallout 3 and New Vegas, was getting to journey back into those mid-evil like times... of magic, and bow and arrow, skill vs skill, sword to sword. I'm all for time progression, for seeing game worlds change around me... but to introduce guns into elder scrolls is one step way to damn far, it's no longer about skill with guns... I walk into a dungeon, pull out my akaviri katana, and walk ever so slowly around the corner... to find a sissy in a cotton cowl twiddling his thumbs, as he sees me, he pulls out a hand cannon, and shoots me... it would destroy my entire experience. I'm with a previous poster... the day they bring guns into elder scrolls, is the day I check out... that's what fallout is for.
