DLC suggestions #2

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 3:39 am

Given the western feel of the game (and the fact that Oblivion had them) I was a little surprised this game didn't have horses. Not sure they would be good DLC content though.

Not unless it came with........ wait for it....

Horse armor.

I think it should somehow let you interact with the lone wonderer and maybe have him as a companion with a lmassive quest to help, and you could upload a fo3 save for his database or if you want create a follower out of your vision

Burned Man DLC. I'm thinking a separate companion, similar to the Shale or Kasumi party members in DAO and ME2.

This will fix the current lack of legionary love, and could potentially include some nice legion quests to balance the NCR's huge advantage in terms of available questage.

Beyond that, an expansion of the remnants faction would be real nice, assuming it was handled tastefully.

The Enclave are gone, though they might still exist in Chicago, which would be an entirely new game.

Why would Burned Man wanna join up with The Courier if he/she decides to join the faction that burned him to near death and threw him down Grand Canyon?
But I do agree, I would love Burned Man companion DLC.

Maybe a DLC in Arizona or like Los Angeles. That way you would have more stuff to do with the factions. And maybe some DLC thats just weapons or armor.

We've already had Los Angeles in Fallout 1.
Not much point to go back there since we have a game for that region.

I know it's kinda cheap but I would actually like a weapon pack DLC.
I mean, the DLC's do bring new weapons and all but O:A for example only gave EW and Melee a new weapon, the rest of the skills didn't get squat.
So a weapon DLC catering to every combat skill would be real nice and would hopefully give the overall main game some freshness after we've played it for a couple of months.

thats a good idea what about the enclave

Why Enclave?
We've had them in two games already and we have several ex-Enclave characters in Vegas.

the enclave would be alsome but for that we need alot more brotherhood

God no, Brotherhood has been in every single game, they out of all factions are the last one's to need a DLC.

I just want DLC that expands the already existing map and adds RANDOM ENCOUNTERS to the world. More LEgion options would be welcomed, such as a Legion follower. Mongrels please.

Maybe like a flashback quest for the brotherhood kinda similar to operation anchorage. Cause they got that one room in there base that has those pod thing maybe they should have the hoover dam mission only between the bos and ncr. Or when elder mcnamara sorry for the spelling saves them from the area where that satellite is can't remember its name. i don't know more bos wqould make me happy at least and like what everybody says more legion stuff cause i haven't finished the game but i could tell that the legion was going to get shorted missions.

but think about it in every one of the fallouts you were up against the enclave but thiink about flighting with them

We didn't fight them or join them in Fallout 1, Tactics or BOS.

the enclave must die they tried to destroy the capital wastland they are evil and more must die

It's a matter of perspective.
They aren't necessarily evil, just have a different take on the subject.

i dont like them they must die they r stupid the brotherhood is all powerful

Brotherhood is anything but all powerful, their power has declined severely over the years.

That's a good point. Perhaps the Burned Man's questline involves you infiltrating the legion to whack Caesar for revenge. Or maybe he really wants to rejoin the Legion because he believes in what they're doing... Meh, I dunno, but I'm sure the guys at Obsidian could work in legion quests with the DLC, to fix the current dearth of them in the game.

Really, I loved the Enclave action in Vegas, but then, I'm a svcker for the Enclave in general. Were it not for their tendency to try and murder everyone around, I'd think they'd be one of the best factions to support to rebuild the wastelands.

Sorta. But if they added Dogtown it wouldn't make sense for it to be just behind one of those mountains, so it depends.
Maybe yes and/or maybe no.
Kinda 50/50 on that part.

Yes. I got distracted by the drivel, but your post is a good one. Using more of the map and adding back in random encounters would be a good DLC.

im A guy and the could be some 4 girls gigity

I play Fallout for a roleplaying experience.
If I wanted nudity I'd go next-door or just look up some porm on the internet.
Don't feel that we need nudity in this game.
There's no point to it.
Except for parents to have an even better excuse to deny their child the game.

u do have a point hey i only put it there see the reactions

Another point is that the game would likely be banned or put on an advlt Rating which would take the game off of a lot of shelves in the majority of game stores.

they should have a DLC with nudity not major just s little

So give parents another reason not to introduce teens to one of the best RPG series of all time? For no reason?

To put it lightly... HELL NO

If I want nudity I can look it up on the internet any day, not have to have it in Fallout. And seriously, if you want nudity in a video game it's putting you pretty high on the nerd/no lifer scale.

Something groundbreaking should be added. (Just some ideas I was briefly thinking. Haven't thought thru yet): A new Vault, size and capacity of a city/the Strip, with new gear, perks, and people to go with it.
Or, some kind of way to clone a dead humaniod companion by looting a certain belonging off their corpse.

I hate to say this, but... Area 51. This is probably the only game with which you could do this. Because las vegas is so close and all.

Id really love the idea of a lost city of Atlantis thing, dont get me wrong the whole plane thing would be awesome, but I wouldnt mind a secret underwater city where some of the people want to be a part of the rest of the world and some dont.
And like the Boomers plane it some how could to be raised from the bottom of the ocean.
Imagine an Underwater dubai skyline with huge beautiful buildings, It could have started out as a goverment experiment that was cancelled and was found by people who's ship sank for some mysterious reason (something you have to find out why), but now they need your help to either fix or sabotage parts of the city and eventually halp raise the city from the bottom of the ocean...or dont. Another questline for this city could be a Tenpenny tower idea, the Lakelurks actually arent all that violent and with the right sonar technology you can understand them, and learn that some want to be a part of the city.

My one and only suggestion is...

EXTEND THE GAME PAST THE MAIN QUEST. Period.

So stupid for a game like this to "end". Open-world games should have clear endings but should allow the user to continue his quest indefinitely.

Question: What exactly is the difference between playing after the end and simply not doing the final quest, as the huge "YOU ARE APPROACHING THE END" message box suggests? I mean, many sidequests have an impact on the ending, so there's no reason to leave some to do later.

Anyway, I still want some Burned Man DLC love. Oh yeah baby.

I found a dead NPC called Burned man or burned wastelander, If you take the road behind goodsprings bar and shop and head north I think it is past the cemetary he should be laying there all dead obviously not him but i never found a reason why he was there.
