I know this would be a lot of work but how about DLC's that allow us to help one of the smaller factions like say BOS or Khans to greatness?
I mean, we have Legion, NCR and House, those are all main quest paths.
But how about creating a new main quest path for Khans or BOS or another one of the smaller factions?
Like, expand their importance in the game.
As I said, would be a lot of work, but it would add so much more to replayability than just a DLC set off place like PL or The Pitt.
And once we go with that factions final quest it pops up the same "do you want to continue" box and after completing it the endings slides show up again.
Cause while I like that we have 4 main paths I would like to help one of the smaller factions become a major faction.
So I liked being able to help BOS or Khans but I felt like there was more to it.
That after I helped them there should have been more to it.
More to their story.
With BOS
Spoiler
After I helped them with the lockdown and fixed their air filtration system I was kinda bummed that I couldn't help them reclaim Helios One. And that I couldn't help Khans get back at NCR for what they did at Bitter Springs

To be honest the Boomers/plane idea sounds boring as hell.

Oh, and in one of the DLC's add a perk to the leveled list which allows me to bring another companion into my party.
And maybe have it be two ranks so I can have Rex or ED-E and then 3 human followers.

The most probable one, quoting my other post:

I am sure that any of you's has heard people in CL areas talk about Joshua Graham, or saw the graffiti saying "The burned man walks!" or "Joshua Graham lives!", but there's actually no trace of him when it comes to quests\npc's. (I even checked the GECK to be sure of that)
Now, looking how Obsidian did all those little references to him, I started to think that one of the (hopefully first) DLC's may be based around Mr. Joshua "Immortal" Graham. Now, I'd like to hear what y'all think about it ;)
NOTE: If you want to find more about the feller: http://fallout.wikia...wiki/Burned_Man

I agree, I'd wager that's probably one of the DLC packs that Obsidian has already planned. I'd be genuinely surprised if Obsidian didn't intend on doing anything with the character given the number of ominous references made to him. There were also quite a few references to New Canaan, the Mormon settlement Graham originated from.

I'd really like to see a large expansion instead of DLCs, with a general improvement of animation/movement, some rebalancing done to perks/skills and other such changes based on player feedback. Basically just fixing the gameplay up would be a lot more likely to svck me back in to Fallout than some extra side quests.

I definitely think that the Grand Canyon will be dlc, and will be run by CL, (maybe the burned man will be there?) + Grand Canyon is talked about so if it isn't dlc, thats just crazy.
as for other dlc, I think we should see things that were in past games/ in the surrounding area:
Vault 13
San Francisco
rocky mountains
las angeles
death valley
Mexico

what about unblocking the parts on the actual map?

as for dlc I would like to see, I would wanna go to alaska so we can see what it looks like after all that waring, maybe salt lake city, or maybe a Natural Forest to see what happened to a heavy wooded area (there are alot of national forests on the west coast), an Area 51 type of base would be sweet, it would probably be run by Enclave, and to finish it off since swimming is in the game more in the game, we should go to half moon bay, its the ocean (which i wanna see the ocean and what it looks like) and there is an airport right there, so we can fly there maybe?

we could go to the east coast too, by either flying, or we could take interstate 15 up to interstate 70, and 70 runs from I think Utah to Pennslyvania, and it runs through St. Louis which is a bigger city.

"Butcher Pete" Pete has heard of the tales of despotism and depravity from the place called New Vegas. Now he descends on New Vegas with his Long Knife to "Hack & Wack &...Chop some meat!" We could either play Pete himself or we could be hired to find Pete and eliminate him. Then we would be finding people who have been "chopped" by Pete and get clues on where he went to next. This all leads up the final battle between you and Pete's infamous Long Knife!

Well well just saw that Ps3 and Pc user won't get the DLC the same day as the Xbox 360 users.

Do we have to wait a years this time around too ? :( cuz a whole damn years is a long time, and by then I probably got tired of the game and wouldn't touch it again (like Fallout 3)

As far as I know it's only the first DLC that will be exclusive to the 360.

I would actually like to see this and I play the old games. I just think seeing how certain places turned out/seeing them in 3D would be cool.

I would actually like to see a DLC that restores the vipers to their former prominence and also introduces a quest line where you are required to infiltrate their splinter group "Hounds of Hecate" according to fallout canon. Source: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vipers

The first add-on should be horse armor. The others should be something like Point Lookout. I would love an Bos/Enclave related add-on.

The others should be something like Point Lookout.

Well if they decide to listen to our opinions on FO3's DLC's they'd know the majority of us liked PL the most cause of it's open map.
Hopefully all DLC's will be open and not linear.
Hell, even Pitt would be acceptable as long as the enemies respawn which Trogs did not do in the Steelyard. <_<

My one and only suggestion is...

EXTEND THE GAME PAST THE MAIN QUEST. Period.

So stupid for a game like this to "end". Open-world games should have clear endings but should allow the user to continue his quest indefinitely.

How can they do that with so many possible endings? My first time through I sided with Yes Man and took out both Legion and NCR. What if I had sided with the Legion or NCR or didnt kill Mr House? So thats alot of possible endings. An extension of the main story would have to be several DLC packs rolled into one to allow for all possible endings.

I have one idea though. Bring in the Enclave as a threat to New Vegas. Could tie Area 51 into that as well. Then no matter what the ending of the main story and who your "contact" is, you could still be led on into the story line.

As for more DLC I would love to see more things added like daily jobs, more stuff with the King, grand re-opening of the Lucky 38, and (dont laugh) with Lake Mead and other big areas of water I would love to see them add fishing into the game. I have seen fishing shacks and bait houses in both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Yet no actual fishing. I aint talking Bassmasters but something doable as a secondary time waster.

And lastly, for console users, a limited GECK tool to use for making mods that can be traded on console. I aint talking a full fledged GECK. Just something that lets console users make mods using existing art and models. Other games on console allow for limited modding, One even lets you trade mods with other users.
