Does anyone that bought it on release still play Skyrim?

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 2:57 am

Still playing. I took a break for a couple of weeks with Arkham Asylum and Tomb Raider about a month ago but back to going strong and loving it. The ranged killcams have helped breath some new life as have lots of great mods that have come out or been updated recently.

About boring, all I can say is people who find it boring as opposed to just burning out or such find very different things boring than me. Boring to tears to me though is any sort of sport involving any sort of rough spheroid.

Yep. I still play when I need a break from Morrowind. Now I'm waiting on the DLC, hoping that I get the chance to crush the Thalmor once and for all. :flamethrower:

I've played pretty much NOTHING else except Skyrim since release. Even when I'm playing with my friends we just make a character and do whatever the hell on it.

As soon as I start playing, I start yawning.
THIS!
Though I'm at the point where I don't even bother touching the game anymore.

I play it every day and have yet to get bored. Skyrim makes me happy to have played Tes 1 Arena way back in 1994 and every Elder Scrolls chapter since. When other rpgs have fallen the Elder Scrolls by Bethesda has always delievered and then some.

I do but I'm feeling pretty irked that their big reveal this month was about Kinect. It just felt so cheap that they hyped that. I'm still hoping we get some DLC news.

I play almost every day and I'm not yet bored, but the sessions are very short.

I got the game at release but haven't put a ton of time in it yet. I have two characters, both at pretty low levels of 22 and 10. Once I finish Xenoblade Chronicles I plan on returning to Skyrim.

Nope, stopped playing it a long time ago after hitting 500 hours. Only stay on this forum to watch for DLC info.

180 hrs, still playing it and I have it since 11/11. Maybe because I don't play it daily and never for more than 2 hours per session. Overall, I feel I haven't seen anything yet.

I've got to say it became a bit repetitive on the PS3, even though I havent' beaten every single quest and explored every single place yet. So I got it for PC and downloaded a few mods. Now it's an entirely different game :D

I still play.
Mods help keep things lively, and i am in a constant quest to make a better spellsword than my last iteration.

Did i mention i like spellswords? I know alot about spellswords..

Or maybe its called a nightblade here. Whichever.
Well, we console players don't get mods.
I just wish they hadn't [censored] up magic. Then i might had still liked it, imagine spellcreation in Skyrim

You guys seem to still have a lot of fun with this game.
Any tips? I am thinking of starting a new character. A khajit maybe. Any ''class'' except magician(because it svcks) would do.. Anyone got some tips for how to keep the game as interesting as possible for as long as possible?

I still play very often, and I got the Collectors Edition at the midnight release.

Being that I really only play two game franchises, I generally divide my time pretty evenly between The Elder Scrolls and Halo series'. These are my two favorite game series ever, and they're both so well made (and Halo 4 comes out in November!!!!!) that I really don't have much time at all to play anything else. So I'm currently working on Skyrim and Halo: Reach, and I'm loving them both!

I've played 270 hours since release, and I'm still playing thanks to mod support. I haven't even completed any of the main quest lines yet. I became bored of the unmodded game already around 50 hours and I had to restart with mods.

The question is in the title.
I haven't played it since new years eve i think. How about you other guys?
I am officially saying that this game is.... Boring. Never thought i'd say that, but i did.
So, tell me, how do you feel about Skyrim now this long after the release?
Every day! Every single day! and if my wife is doing somethin on the tv, Im playin morrowind on the pc

Preordered, played minute of release on steam, still play.

For me Skyrim, just as with Morrowind and Oblivion, is a game I always play. I may put it down for a few days to a few weeks. Then something clicks and I'm back playing it.

My advice, play totally different but to what is comfortable. At first I played sneak/archery/one handed/light armour. Then a mage. Now heavyarmour/two handed/ one handed/ block/ resto/ enchanting.

Skipping smithing as waiting to find armour is more challenging, having so many main skills to level is a challenge too. I'm going for a templar/paladin type skill set and I must say, this is the most fun I have had so far, 3rd character and all.

Yep, even though I usually end up playing the same build but with different weapon styles each time. But I got 1000+ hours plugged into the game and the number will rise something fierce once the DLC is out. :tes: But I do throw some Halo in between playing Skyrim so as to not ruin it/ make it boring.
