Will the conservative publisher buck the trend and push just as much six as it does gore in this next game? With Obsidian at the helm, perhaps we'll see a bit more skin in New Vegas.
Once again it seems that the (mainstream) game industry has finally figured out where babies come from.... which is kinda cute...
It's a definite step forward to giggling while trying to discover from how many angles one can view Lara's backside.
It's very sad though that "gore & six" seems to be the established definition of "maturity"
Next lesson: taxes
EDIT:
Hey... I just looked up 'maturity' in wikipedia, out of curiosity, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maturity_(psychological)
Maturity is a psychological term used to indicate that a person responds to the circumstances or environment in an appropriate and adaptive manner. This response is generally learned rather than instinctual, and is not determined by one's age. Maturity also encompasses being aware of the correct time and place to behave and knowing when to act with appropriate emotion for the situation.
This is interesting + very appropriate for an RPG to explore I think. (+ absolutely no mention of six, gore, drugs and the like, it seems)
And since we're in suggestions, here are a couple of concepts that I think are both mature and interesting to explore:
responsibility & regret.
Of course one may say that these are the things one plays games to get away from... and well... fair enough, I'll agree. (but then don't tell me that the game is 'mature', that's ridiculous)
still, I felt like mentioning them.
(And keep in mind that regret, at least, was a most prominent concept in Planescape: Torment - which was praised for it too.)
