- A wearable backpack or dufflebag (unaffected by other apparel) , there are plenty of mods out there for the PC that have this but bringing it to the consoles might prove popular.
- A finely crafted, ornate patterned long sword or Katana. The absence of a proper sword was a bit of a bummer for me, since I prefer to get up close personal.
- A WWII model PPSH-41 using 556mm or 5mm rounds for convienence ( With a drum magazine Mod upgrade) , again there is a few mods out there with this but console players are missing out.
- A chainsword, perhaps a mod for a "Ripper" which makes the chainsaw blade slightly longer to match the length of a sword (Increase in damage or attack range). And Yes I am aware that the chainsword exists in Warhammer 40k aswell.
- The return of the Winchester P94 Plasma Rifle, the more portable version of the plasma caster with the three electromagnetic 'claws'. I feel slightly nostalgic everytime I think of this weapon in the previous Fallout games.
I apologise gabriel77dan for posting this as a seperate thread.
No worries, duplicates happen.
On your suggestions, I don't mind the chainsword, katana or WWII weapons but a backpack seems kinda unnecessary.
It would be good for those that want better immersion but it can't produce any other effects really.
The weight capacity we get from out STR is part of our invisible backpack.
Throwing on another backpack isn't going to give any +weight.
Example: Say you have a bag of 1 liter of water, now, you take a pitcher that holds 1 liter, this is the backpack, by holding this pitcher and pouring in the water does not mean that the weight that you are carrying has decreased, in fact, the pitched also weighs a little so it has in fact increased.
So if you hold 8 weightballs, each weighing 1 pound it means that they all weigh together 8 pounds, this is very clumsy to hold on the other hand, so by putting them in a backpack you get a greatly increased holding on the balls as they are all collected inside the bag instead of holding hem all in your arms.
So. Hmmm.
Maybe a backpack could give a -15% weight decrease on all items? (Not the total amount but -15% on each individual item.)
A bigger backpack would give -20%. (2 forms of backpacks.)
But increasing the weight capacity directly by putting on a backpack seems like very twisted logic to me.
But that's just my personal problem with the backpack idea.
The winchester P94 plasma rifle is already in the game though, it can be found at Silver Rush in Freeside Pt2.
