Future DLC Suggestions #6

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:20 am

I might have posted something like this before.

I would like some mention of The Shi. I want to know what happened to them. Are they apart of NCR? Are they their own Empire. Maybe allied with NCR?

Would be best to come across a Shi Research Outpost. They are there to study the plant life and the Mutations like night stalkers. An additon to Vault 22 Quest to get the info from main frame could be that you find out the Shi teams real goal is to find Vault 22. They have some idea about the Vault based on info NCR gathered about it. They will pay well for the info, maybe a M72 Gauss Rifle and alot of ammo

Fallout 2 is irrelevant here. I am talking about a New Vegas dlc. And, yes those tiny stalks are technically plants, but it looks more like a decimated rice paddy.

Fallout 2 is not irrelevant, the play space in California (FO1/2) is literally right next to the mojave

Yes, but "literally right next to" is not "at" is it?

If it's 'right next to' that means there WOULD be plantlife in the mojave, which there is.

A G.E.C.K. isn't a miracle device.

More Quests (bounties) to take heads. I really enjoy taking the heads of those fiends.

A perk (headhunter) that allows us to take the heads of any Named NPC

There also should be a DLC to take us to New Arroyo, I would loooove to see the changes now.

Yeah I'd love to see the Chosen One again... and kill the [censored]. Basically my characters entire reason for going back west.

Genius Enclave, KILL DAT [censored] for destroying the 'true' enclave.

Though he died before 2281 I think.

Depends on his age, he could still be in his late 50's or early 60's. Justice for the hundreds dead, 39 years in the making, would be pretty glorious.

If we do get to go back there, I think we can all agree it would be fun if we had the option to burn the city down.

Wouldn't that be pretty ironic, nuke his city and all his people. :chaos:

Think it's more than a village old boy... I think it may be nothing more than a pipe dream however, they seem have all these DLCs' planned out.

Oh right, it's a city now.

I can't get that FO2 image out of my head.. It's really sad becuase I've never 'truely' beaten it.

I've gotten to frank, but I've never killed him xD

Well if we're being honest I have considered myself a Fallout buff for sometime and I haven't got around to finishing the origional. I just enjoy Fallout 2 more and I know what happens anyway, got it on my shelf and installed just not finished or truely started.

It's a Vault City (more VC please!), NCR-esque metropolis now, only making it all the more satisfying when the whole place is destroyed.

The game engine wouldn't allow for vehicles.

i dont remember if oblivion uses the same engine as fallout. but it seems similiar, so vehicles could work...i just think the feeling of exlporation would be lost, and you'd be indestructible (unless the vehicles are as weak as they were in borderlands).

Hold right there.:) I also said armored jeep, and what I was thinking about was, you had the option of a companion to drive you, or have them fire their weapons from like the windows or a sunroof, and the vehicle would level with you, and be considered essential, so 1. you don't have to worry about never being able to drive again, and 2. to make sure things aren't too easy, your vehicle levels with you. And it could maybe be temporarily disabled, like a flat tire or something, and could be repaired with the repair or science skill, or with items like scrap metal.
Sort of like the vehicle equivalent of being knocked unconscious.

vehicle leveling would work. however, repairing it would be harder than just using scrap metal. it would take more components than that. plus, if you havent noticed, almost all the vehicles you find are in the worst condition ever. their tires are missing, there engine (if it even has one) is destroyed.you would have to find tires ( which i HAVE found) and heavier componentss another thing...theres a reason the cars explode... theres PLUTONIUM in them. so if your car gets damaged enough, you have to get out and run like heck before you get caught in the explosion. meaning you would have to keep it under repair. :brokencomputer:

Have you played Boarderlands? If so then you'd be able to see how they could make it work.
I think it would work fine if they had made that available in the full game instead of just putting it in a DLC. Unless they made some sort of racing DLC.

i've played borderlands a bunch. i love the game. and vehicles do work in it. i bet it would work in fallout, too. but it would ruin the EXPLORATION. im not one of those people who think it would break the game. i just dont agree woith driving in the game unless the cars are realistic to the game, meaning that they would explode when damaged enough (because of PLUTONIUM). it would also get really damaged easily, if what i've seen is any indication. plus, as i said above, you would have to repair it all the time, and youd have to find the right components to get it runnung.

I imagine in Nebraska there is a vault to end all vaults. One so enormous that its potential has not yet been explored by game designers. I am speaking of course about the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Vault whose commissioning helped pave the way to fund further vault construction with that special 1950's look and feel and to which the culture of the Wasteland is indebted.

I'm hoping for something that has to do with Ulysses. Like you clear out the canyon wreckage (where the writings of Ulysses are) and the area behind that is where the Courier and Ulysses have that great "fight".
Looking at the area on the map on on top of some of the cars just makes me want to blow the wreckage up and go explore.

I think that there should be a dlc where you can continue Fallout: New Vegas after beating it ( like brocken steel for Fallout 3), i mean really who isn't mad about that. also aren't the players wondering how new vegas turned out after they sided with House, Yes man, Legion, or the NCR.
things i think should happen in the dlc:
The lucky 38 should be an active casino
have new weapons obviously
in the quest you half to get rid of the straglers namely (NCR and/or the Legion)
add some fun side quests i mean there really weren't any in Dead money
also just free balling add a new companion
also maby add a new faction that could be a threat to the vegas you formed and the Hoover Dam as part of the main quest line
re-add the cut vault 21 armored jumpsuit
