Um, actually the month in Tamriel is called Heartfire, not Hearthfire.

So it IS the pottery based DLC I've been waiting for!

Hearthfire is definitely the next DLC. I wasn't convinced about Dawnguard and all the crossbow, vampire and Snow Prince stuff, but the Dawnguard reveal and trailer proved me wrong. I won't make the same mistake again.

As for what the DLC will be about though, the only thing I can possibly think of is the seasonal foilage from the GameJam.

I doubt it has anything to do with holidays from Daggerfall. It's just farfetched. And if the date of your savegame is in First Seed, you'd have to wait half a year to get to Hearthfire, so I really doubt it has anything to do with the month itself either. Perhaps it will be about something that happened in Hearthfire in ancient times, but not some Hearthfire-exclusive event.

My real guess is that the DLC is named after something that has taken its name from the month, like a pirate lord's ship ("Arrr, ready the Hearthfire and set sails for Dawnstar! We're gonna raid the crap out of that city") or some group of people (although the latter would be repetive after Dawnguard).

"Hearthfire is occasionally referred to as Heartfire, the name given to said month in TES:Arena. In Skyrim, "Heart Fire" is used exclusively on the game calendar, although it appears as "Hearth Fire" (as one or two words) in some books."

I hope it continues the civil war quest, maybe going back to Cyrodil and maybe also Morrowind or High Rock to drive out the Thalmor with who ever you sided on during the civil war quest. take back the empire from the Thalmor and re-establish Talos as a god (Regardless if your with the Empire or Stormcloacks)

Yeah, not exactly a video game is it? Finding a really original name, that would be unique, is simply impossible.

does it matter? its still someones surname, according to google its an organisation, a bookshop as well plus there's hearthfire studio an indie game developer not having a go at you dear but i didnt think someone could copyright another persons surname even if its used for other things,
