Imagine the reaction. "Another DLC about undead?!"

So? I always wanted to have some sort of huge Lich Boss to fight but never had one in TES... So I am hoping to see some sort of Lich Boss sometime soon..

Also, Vampires aren't completely undead.... Don't wanna explain right now though..

It's a month, not sure what they are going to do exactly, maybe they will include seasonal foliage as shown in the game jam vid.

ZeniMax Media Files Trademark for "Hearthfire" — May 30, 2012

ZeniMax Media, of which http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Bethesda_Softworks is a subsidiary, http://fusible.com/2012/05/zenimax-media-files-trademark-for-hearth-fire-computer-game-software/ for "Hearthfire" on May 24, with the information appearing today on the http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=85634522. In the Elder Scrolls universe, there is a month called Hearthfire (September). There is no official word yet as to what they intend to do with the name.

This kind of documentation was shown when Dawnguard was trademarked by Zenimax, months ago, which turned out to be true. So I'm pretty sure this is legit as well.

Sorry, I don't get on the Skyrim G.D. often, as I primarily spend my time in the Artwork and Fan-Fiction section.

I would be surprised if it was fake, as it appears to be on a .gov website

It's a real trademark.

No idea what they'll do with it, though. Just like Dawnguard, we'll have to wait till they officially announce it.

By the way, if you found it on UESP, you should know that the community already knows about it. The UESP is maintained by the community.

A lot of the more serious speculation is that it will be focused around magic, possibly conjuration, since that's the subject of the book by the same name.

That is a possibility... and Todd did say that they will have both small and large DLC's... so it is likely.

Hearthfire is the name of the 9th month of the year in The Elder Scrolls universe. I wouldnt be surprised if they eventually try to trademark the other 11.

That would be a bit strange... and unnecessary.

edit: Thank You Mitheledh (I think that's how you spell it ;) )

I am thinking it will be something magic related since the name comes from a conjuration spell book.
I hope they give us factions with long and enjoyable quest lines, then I hole we get spell creation and the old spells we used to have in this series.

It would be great if they gave us a world to explore that just had a magical atmosphere that suited mage characters but a world where other characters could fit in.

I do not think this expansion will revolve around conjuration only.

If it is conjuration, that could mean the return of daedra, since they have been sorely lacking in Skyrim.

Very true but they expand on the entire magic system there could be Daedra as well, because if they expand on the entire system conjuration would be included in that and this magic system needs mire content to make it better like it once was.

Magic in Skyrim is some what lacking, it feels like it wasn't focused on by any of the developers, like they were too busy with the other forms of combat to test it properly.

I highly doubt that it'll be a magic based DLC just because an in-game book on magic has the same name, especially given that it was used to name the date.
