Heavy vs Medium vs Light

I still want a light-only gamemode for console, it feels like playing with heavies will be more of a pain than against them because their mobility is aweful.

Supposedly, people are saying there is no light footage, but I have heard that only lights are capable of wall jumps, during which the player is moving fast, but not incredulously fast, we are talking about hyper-realistic warfare here, during which ideal parkour artists seem to run at 15kph with adrenaline pumping through their veins. Still, heavies move even slower, so I really don't want to wait around for my teammates to catch my back if I already feel like my travel speed is slow, especially with 20 second spawn waves (10 seconds average); with respect to the opposing team I could care less about heavies, seeing as slow moving players can rarely compete in fast-paced matches, esp. professional ones.

Light-only adds more OHK chances to snipers, quicker action for the frontlines, and takes out shotguns and grenade launchers (which may not please everyone, but hey it's preference). Knife only would be more effective. Camping would (most likely) be reduced, no offense heavies, but characters with close range damage bonuses tend to camp (If you don't believe me, look at the pyro in TF2, not only the heavy), heavies get powerful close-range/inaccurate long-range miniguns plus an auto shotgun, one of the few long range guns in the heavy set is the grenade launcher. There is a lot more camping potential with heavy weapons or even the shotguns in the medium weapons catagory, plus standing still as a heavy is less threatening because of increased health, whereas in the case of a light/agile, standing still will more often result in fatality.

It's not like a light-only gametype would steal an excessive amount of light players from the pools of regular match players, seeing as lights/agiles make up the largest proportion of potential players so far. You have to remember, the majority of players tend to play the gametype on the top of the list, regardless of what it actually is.

The only detriment to the play style will be that no one will use the regular routes, everyone will want the high ground or the back alleys in which heavies can't fit (because the alleys are too narrow), which may make the game more fun, because the routes no one will expect will be the ones you wouldn't think to use (primarily because they actually increase your travel time).

Effectively, what I am asking for is MLG Halo/CoD setups (CoD has never actually had an MLG setup, but it has been recommended numerous times), I think a lot of hardcoe Xbox fans would be happy because they would probably agree with the statement, "agiles require more movement skill," "It isn't fun to be killed by shotguns and noob tubes," and likely "Snipers should be able to get a OHK." The last statement might be a stretch for even professional Xbox (where snipers are UP (underpowered) in the case of CoD), but agiles are significantly harder to trace, so unless an agile isn't strafing, he will be significantly harder to hit.

Idk if they would want to spend the time adding this though *whine* :sadvaultboy:

At least do it for teh rushers, eh?

CoD having underpowered snipers?
have you even played mw2?

and read the topicS, since there have been a LOT.
heavies aren't that slow, and they aren't that tough.
lights aren't that fast

I said lights weren't that fast.

"Supposedly, people are saying there is no light footage, but I have heard that only lights are capable of wall jumps, during which the player is moving fast, but not incredulously fast, we are talking about hyper-realistic warfare here, during which ideal parkour artists seem to run at 15kph with adrenaline pumping through their veins."

15 kilometers per hour is pretty slow, since with adrenaline and exaggerated realism (mainly in art no doubt) you would expect to go faster than an olympic runner, even though parkour artists stress that you build muscle equally in the arms and legs, 15kph, approx 9mph (exactly lol), is running fast, but not sprinting fast.

Everyone has been saying this game is slower than both ET games, that is part of why I don't want heavies.

Snipers in CoD may be good in public but even Optic has a hard time going professional. The UMP is the best gun in MW2 hands down, at least on MLG maps. Using a sniper in MLG is suicide if the enemy team expects it or if you have more than 1-2 snipers per team, no matter how good they are.

I'm not trying to be mean, just defending my point, but I've played over 15 days of MW2, and I loathe the game. I rage quit the whole of it a month and a half ago and haven't used my Xbox since.

The reason I want light only lies in weapons. Plus I would guess Heavies have at least twice the health to accomodate for slow movement (which is essential to dodging bullets in a fight) and a larger hitbox. Then on top of that there is the camping, which along with OP killstreaks, killstreaks building other killstreaks, shotguns and noob tubes (mind you) is the reason I rage quit MW2.

It's essentially a failsafe if Brink pulls a campfest like MW2 has.

[edit:] Console never gets any good playlists or options, with the exception of Halo. One of the most requested game modes for MW2 was an MLG playlist (take out shotguns, noob tubes, killstreaks, and first perk (or rather switch it to bandolier) if MW2 did end up using the old system of an explosive first perk). That never happened and youtube videos tend to have MW svcks spammed down the entire list, pointed at Activision in their comments page, etc. Most people after a few months hated MW2, I hated it the first day 11/10/09, it just so happened my friends played it. The reason MW2 failed was the exploitation of easy to use weapons to increase killstreak, the purpose of light-only mode is to create a harder to play version for people who like to use gun and movement skill without the fear of dying endlessly from cheap tactics.
