Already enough heavy vs light love now is time to open up and invite mediums to the fight. Now go and discuss who would win the fight and why.

So which will win?

light. i believe i could take down a heavy by being smart about. and reptar in the heavy vs lights post you said.
actually its the opposite. the health will probably not be too much of a difference between heavies and lights. i think itll be 2 extra sections on the health bar. this isnt confirmed yet but im taking a guess considering that the heavies arent too slow and the lights arent too fast

if ur going by the e3 demo if medium has 2 bars heavys could have 4 and lights just the regen bar

also the heavies have access to larger and more powerful guns. they do more damage

Well what I would say for this would have to be heavy. While the I will mainly play as a light I will say heavy.

My reason why: As a light you make one mistake you are dead when facing a heavy and against a medium build one or two and you're dead. However if you are a very good light you could take one down with ease. But the heavy and medium have more room for mistakes to be made. So if all of these "players" we are making up are the same skill level at their classes I'd say the light comes in last, medium comes in second, and the heavy comes in first. Because in a battle between a medium and a heavy I would say the heavy would win since the medium isn't really made so well to offset the heavy's increased health and a better, more deadly, weapon load out.

But one thing I love about Brink is the fact that this fight is very balanced but it's just my opinion that the heavy would come out victorious more times then the other two. Deadliest Warrior anyone? (American show for those not from America)

that is in a direct fight. in inndirect one ligh would dominate.

oh and in the e3 footage i noticed when the medic buffed u and gave u another health pip it was slightly smaller than he natural ones.

why is everyone talking of the health and not the weapons or SMART abilities? if you have a heavy with an inaccurate gun vs. a light thats near impossible to hit and has an accurate weapon im pretty sure the light would win....the medium would prolly win but i like the light more. LIGHT WINS!!!

The Heavy would then take out his more accurate side-weapon, an Assault Rifle, and blow the Light's head off.

In my opinion, all body types have the same amount of pros and cons. It just depends on which one suits yourself more, and how you want to go through the game.

If you want to use the S.M.A.R.T. more, assassinate people using speed and agility, you should be using lights.
If you like to stand ground and fight, probably the heavy.
If you're not sure which one you like maybe the medium. So it's like a little bit of both.

Which ever one you feel you'll best at, have more fun at being, kill most people with or gain most experience in.

Inaccurate guns tend to be balanced by not needing accuracy. I believe you'd be more effective at taking down a light at close-mid range with a minigun or automatic shotgun with which it's almost impossible to miss than with an accurate weapon like an assault rifle which would require more measured tracking of the enemy. The best thing a light can do is use his agility to flank and ambush heavies, dealing a lot of damage very quickly then falling back. It of course depends on the nature of the weapons at hand but another viable strategy could be to stay out of the range of the heavy's more powerful weapons like the minigun and soften him up with a rifle before sneaking in to finish the job.

Of course this is all speculation, we know that SD reduced the range of weaponry in order to keep the fights close but we don't know how drastic this damage fall off or inaccuracy will be.

I'm a light through and through. Operatives are obviously gonna play out best as Lights. Light Engineers lay down mines in places before people get near, build turrets, rushing in and out repairing and building. The soldier distracts and operates with hit and run attacks, setting charges and blowing stuff up before you realise he's there. The Medic rushes across the battlefield, reviving, saving and healing then off away he goes.

People sometimes say heavy or medium just because of better guns. You seem to think us Lights will run straight at the guy with the bigger gun without using any strategy.

Amen. Lights won't just charge at you waving their knives.

+1

I say:
Lights --> Objective focused, sneak tactics, supporting heavies in order to deal damage/defend while trying to go for the objective
Heavy --> Damagetakers and dealers. Supporting lights trying to accomplish their objective

Medium --> All around, covering distance between heavies and lights and supporting them both

Edit: That's what teamwork's about. Supporting eachother.

I will probably prefer light over heavy because I like to be fast and sneak behind people. Besides, it's not like the lights can't actually kill heavies because with headshots the heavies should come down quite quick.

i said light, which is what i'll be playing as. Not because they're ninja's, but because of the potential of their speed, agility, SMART capabilities and attributes. If an extremely skinny light is dodging fire from a gat (assuming the light knows what it is doing) it will find cover, or jump up onto a ledge and hide behind something. The light could then a.) wait it out cuz the heavy can't get up that high or b.) toss a grenade or two over the cover near the heavy. it probably wont move fast enough to get out of the way, and it will weaken it enough that the light can pop a few rounds in it and kill the beast.

Not really it will in fact be easier provided you get the drop on them.

Gotta love the Light. Run round like a ninja and pwn some n00bs. If you've watched the cinematic, I will be like the Spec ops guy from the Security team :D
Except I won't get stabbed by a man with make-up on and a cheap assassins creed hoodie.
