How long did it take you to settle in?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:55 am

It always worries me that there are people here less than a year that have more than twice the amount of posts I have in five...

What an odd thing to worry about. Who really cares? I mean, obviously some people care - but honestly, in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter.

I do wonder wherethey put all their posts though. I mean, look at Falloutftw. He had 5000 posts in a month. But none of them were spam. I didn't think there were enough threads on the forum for 5000 posts a month. :P

Not really. I can recognize a few people by their avatars but only because they don't change them.

Post count obviously directly affects your coolness levels on the internet.

I don't have more than twice the amount of posts you have, but for having been here for only 9 months, I'd say my post count being higher than yours shows just how nerdy I am and how little of a life I have. :P

I recognize a lot of you guys, but I figure my presence is limited to the fellow forumites who play Xbox and Steam games with me. CD is part of my daily routine at this point.

I suspect people start feeling at home when they know when they post relationship threads to expect a majority of the posts to be "just ask her out"

I feel like I can recognize most people pretty easy on here, but I highly doubt anyone recognizes me.

Hahaha true it does get to be an extreme

But there are some people who offer genuine advice, that even if the person doesn't take, is very nice and I think the people who do post that advice are awesome for taking their time for trying to help someone else

Well I was wrong, I guess there are people here who recognize me lol. I do have a doggy matching that description. She's got freckles everywhere and two big brown spots on her back.

Uhm, maybe half a year or so. Some people tend to stick out and get my attention earlier, but after about six months I could identify most active CD posters. And I think I'm somewhat known around these parts.
I too like it here. :)

I don't think he meant he worries for himself, only for the sanity of the excessive posters amongst us, those rascals :P. (Massive assumption he's male?)

I can remember names and avatars but I'm not so good with personality. Except with the certain special forumers. When someone changes they're avatar I can remember the name, seems familiar, but beyond that I go blank.

As for people noticing me, I'm sure they do. And I'm sure by now they know I'm a naughty naughty boy. But really I dunno how people see me.

Yup.

Wait, I remember you. Well, your avatar anyway.

I've found there's a new hilarity in reading people's status updates when you click their name.

I go all humble and wow-ish in a fourteen-year-old-schoolgirl-sees-Justin-Bieber-looking-at-her kinda way when I see someone has sigged something I wrote. Doesn't happen too often, so it's always a giggle when it happens :)
