How long did it take you to settle in?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:54 am

I guess I'm still not really settled in. I know most of the regulars in CD by name and avatar, and I like a bunch of people and the overall atmosphere here. I doubt anyone knows me though, especially since I lost my awesome Morrowind flame atronach avatar with the forum changes and I'm too lazy to get a new one :P

I think most people still forget about me

Yep. Already forgotten. :)

I think it's the mods..we have awesome mods.

Yep. Gotta agree. :D

I'm sorry. If I had known my comment woulda caused an avatar change I would never have made it. :ahhh:

I'm pretty sure most people know me by now. I've only had 2 avatars and both were very distinctive. First leprechaun now squirrel. I know nearly all regulars and can match personalities to avatars and names. Though generally when I see a post I glance only at the avatar and so it confuses me when people change it (peace bullet <_< ) I guess I felt truly settled 6-8 or so monthes after joining.

I was in a forum before this, it was alright at the start, but then it turned into a flaming forum where this group was just total losers to you. The worst thing about it was that the Moderators did absolutely nothing about it!
I loved Fallout 3 and I found this forum, it was weird at first because it was a little different. But I settled in and started Rping, I was bad at first but I've gotten a lot better now. I've been at this forum for nearly a year now, only two more months now. But I love this forum, the Moderators are fantastic and keep order, thank you Mods!

It was a rather rough start but through trail and tribulations I eventually got into the groove of things :disco: .

I only know for your funky avatar. Thats i distinguish everyone apart. Ive been here a while, but im still a noob compared to the others round here. I settled in a soon as i started coming on these forums more often, i was mostly in the Oblivion section, and then Fallout, and now im just in CD and sometimes Brink.

The moment someone referenced me in a sig I snapped it up to make myself look more popular

Well, they were being mean, so I thought, what's the coolest thing possible and the worst thing possible, so I went with girls and frenchmen respectively.

When I first joined, I posted almost exclusively in the Morrowind General and Mods section. I settled in pretty quickly there.

My first venture into CD was slightly more daunting. I made the odd post here and there, and before I knew it, I was having a drink (literally) with a fellow forumer (who's unfortunately long since left the forums).

To be honest, I felt more at home here during '06/'07/'08 than I do now. Many of the people I had considered genuine friends don't post any more, and while a few familiar faces remain, I haven't really reconnected since.

By the way, Stealthie, if you read this, drop me a PM! I miss our drunken chats! Well, I was drunk at least... :D

I've been here since 2005, but I really don't post that much. I guess you could say I've "settled in"?

I don't really come around much anymore, I'm just not interested in the threads that pop up, but I could never forget this forum and I'll probably be logging in for years to come.

Been here a few years now, I guess I haven't really settled in too much. I've never been a massive poster and it's just driven home even more when I see the scores of members who have been here considerably less time than I have, but have had considerably more to say :P.

It always worries me that there are people here less than a year that have more than twice the amount of posts I have in five...

60% of which are grumpy moderator posts, 30% in the Morrowind forums and 10% talking about you all in the Admin forum. :D

I don't even remember. In less than a year, probably, but honestly I pay more attention to names than anything else.

We have THAT many threads that wind up getting locked/require moderator's to post in them grumpily?

I'm either not paying attention or you moderators are ninjas :ninja:

Not long really -- I have a good memory.

I'd be suprised if people found it hard not to match my avatar with my name, I've only had 3-4 avatars since i've been here.
